This position entails working on the prestigious Fidelity Capital Markets trading floor and being part of a dynamic team that identifies and resolves regulatory reporting issues. Every day brings a new challenge to tackle – whether it be an inquiry from a regulator, a new rule that has been approved or searching for inconsistencies in over four billion data points that have been submitted across multiple reporting applications.
The Expertise We’re Looking For
· Experience with the trade reporting requirements of a broker/dealer including OATS, Blue Sheets, LOPR, TRF/ORF, RTRS, TRACE, INSITE and/or SEC Rules 605 and 606.
· Experience effectively leading a team and/or cross-functional group or project, with the ability to make sound decisions and prioritize work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
· Develops solutions to complex issues that have regulatory implications.
· Strong time management and prioritization skills
· Master’s degree preferred
· Series 7 & 24 required within 6 months of hire
· Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
· Working knowledge of SQL and Oracle databases preferred
The Purpose of Your Role
The Director of Regulatory Reporting works within a team of 10 (1 Vice-president, 2 Directors, 7 Analysts) responsible for ensuring the overall integrity of trade and position reporting submitted to the regulators for Fidelity broker dealers, National Financial and Fidelity Brokerage Services. The Director will lead a team of analysts who, on a daily basis, must review data submissions to ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements and Written Supervisory Procedures. The Director is responsible for ensuring that any issues detected are appropriately resolved and/or escalated, as well as providing Supervisory Principal sign-off on daily work of team. The Director is responsible for understanding the core businesses of the trading floor, how the systems work and inter-relate, the various operational flows supporting the different trading desks and the reporting requirements of all products. This understanding is essential to determining the overall accuracy of the reporting. The Director is also responsible for managing a portfolio of reporting issues which must be resolved either through system or process flow changes and ensuring that all are resolved within appropriate timeframes, dependent on impact.

· Acting as subject matter expert to internal and external business partners on regulatory reporting requirements. Be aware of upcoming rule changes and understand impact to both operational and system flows, identifying system and/or process flow changes needed.
· Supporting the Compliance team in responding to inquiries, audits and exams from regulators in a timely manner. Providing requested data and expertise in determining the accuracy and completeness of the reporting submitted.
· Ensure team members participate in technology projects relating to regulatory reporting systems. This includes developing and documenting user requirements, user acceptance testing, implementation and post-production validation.
