Reliance Trust Company, a division of the Fortune 500 company Fidelity National Information Services (FIS), is seeking a seasoned investment professional in the manager due diligence and asset allocation processes to oversee the robust growth of its retirement plan and collective investment trust (CIT) business lines. This high profile position will work closely with business line managers and industry specialists to offer high touch 3(38) Fiduciary services, assure adherence to industry best practices, while helping to maintain Reliance Trust’s industry leadership position.
Responsibilities:

• Directs all aspects of third party manager research activities leveraging the broad skills and capabilities of company’s existing analyst staff and the broader Investment Management Team.

• Act as primary contact and spokesperson for internal and external constituencies on manager due diligence and screening and selection process, ongoing reviews, performance monitoring and communications with managers and sub-advisors utilized in various offerings across business lines.

• Maintain key relationship management role for institutional clientele and Collective Investment Trust (CIT) subadvisory relationships.

• Manage relationships with third party advisory platforms and key retirement plan accounts as needed.

• Work closely with Portfolio Managers and Relationship Managers sourcing managers for account relationships and provides general guidance as needed.

• Responsible for further developing and maintaining manager research process and the further development of approved lists for use across retirement plan and wealth management relationships.

• Play a key role in the development of and enhancement of managed investment solutions.

• Ensure consistency and quality of the investment team’s global investment process, philosophy, and positioning across all business lines.

• Stay abreast of new investment strategies, trends and products that may add value to the investment process across all business lines.

• Serve as a subject matter expert on managed investment solutions, ensuring quality and competitiveness of investment solutions offered across all business lines.

• Recommend creation of or changes to investment solutions, with primary focus on retirement plans.

• Assist in the development of implementation policies and procedures covering manager research, selection, and oversight.

• Develop investment thought leadership pieces and commentaries for external distribution across relationships and business lines.

• Update list on compliance tools and ensures timely dissemination to interested parties.

• Create quarterly performance reports for institutional clientele and for all investment products maintained by the Investment team and manages the distribution of all reports to appropriate parties in a timely manner.

• Provide leadership and oversight of special projects across business lines as needed, coordinating investment activities with key business lines and operational counterparts.

• Ensure broad investment group goals are achieved by developing scalable and streamlined processes.

• Develop investment related content for client presentations and product collateral materials ensuring quality and consistency.

• Assist in new business development activities as a leading subject matter expert.

• Provide training, education, and professional development of investment management staff.

• Other related duties assigned as needed.



Required Skills & Abilities

• Extensive understanding and experience (7-10+ years) with Institutional Retirement Plans and Wealth Management clients.

• Background within a retirement plan focused, institutional investment consulting practice.

• Strong work ethic, analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail

• Ability to communicate complex investment ideas and product features to internal and external constituents in clear and concise terms

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Self-starter with willingness and ability to make independent decisions and handle multiple tasks and responsibilities

• Ability to work independently and within a team environment on a variety of projects, receive instructions from a number of people and meet project deadlines

• Ability to work in a fast paced, high-pressure environment

• Adept at problem solving

• Experience with Morningstar, Zephyr, or similar manager research databases

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software is essential

• Strong academic record with a degree in business, preferably finance or economics with other coursework in investments/financial markets

• Ability to pursue a professional investment designation (CFA, CTFA, etc.).

Undergraduate and/or Master’s degree in business administration, finance, economics or other related discipline or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience. CFA, CIMA or similar professional certification preferred.
