The Northrop Grumman Enterprise Services & Chief Strategy Office (ES &CSO) is seeking a Business Applications Director to join our team of qualified, diverse leaders in our Information Technology Solutions Division. The location for this position is Falls Church, Virginia.
The successful candidate will lead the IT Solutions (ITS) Business Application Services (BAS) organization through a very exciting and challenging time of digital transformation. BAS is responsible for the global operation, sustainment, and modernization of over 1,300 applications across the company. The BAS organization collaborates with sectors, business process owners, ES&CSO leaders, and other key stakeholders to shape application strategies / roadmaps to provide an integrated set of tools and systems to streamline business operations, increase employee productivity, and foster program success.
The director is responsible for the ongoing performance and sustainment of business applications to ensure they are available, reliable, and responsive while ensuring sufficient staffing/resourcing is in place to properly maintain and upgrade applications to meet the technical and business requirements. This position provides strong organizational leadership to the BAS team while ensuring a healthy team-oriented environment that fosters employee development, engagement, inclusion, and diversity.
Additionally the director collaborates internally, externally to identify, explore and pilot new technologies and evaluate their potential utility to streamline business operations, increase employee productivity, and foster program success for Northrop Grumman.
The qualified applicant will become a part of Information Technology Solutions Leadership Team and the ITS Policy Council. This position will report directly to the Chief Information Officer, Northrop Grumman.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the following:
Possess a Bachelor’s degree and 15 years of directly applicable experience.
10 or more years of management experience.
10 years of software application and/or COTS application design, development, and integration.
Experience with commercial best practices for software development and integration.
Experience with Agile development and software lifecycle management.
Ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
Strong relationship-building and collaborative skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Effective people skills and the ability to relate well with all levels within a diverse population.
Unquestioned personal and business integrity.
Possess a breadth of demonstrated business, financial and management skills, knowledge, and abilities to ensure maximum effectiveness.
Demonstrated expertise and experience in making critical decisions.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Active DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance
• Experience with Cloud and SaaS platform application development and deployment
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge of enterprise wide software integration of legacy systems
• Master’s degree in Information Systems, or related discipline
• Proven experience with financial budget ownership
• Knowledge and experience with the key provisions of Sarbanes-Oxley
• ITIL certification
• PMP certification
