We are seeking an HR Director for NBCUniversal Digital Enterprises division, an exciting and emerging group that leads the company’s digital business strategy, builds and strengthens partnerships with new media and technology companies, and spearheads efforts to deliver premium content to emerging platforms. Digital Enterprises oversees the investments in Buzzfeed and Vox and the industry-leading episodic partnership with Snapchat, as well as Seeso, the ad-free comedy streaming channel, while working with brands across the company to position NBCUniversal at the forefront of the industry and marketplace.

A unique opportunity for you to provide HR leadership for a growing number of employees in a very dynamic environment across multiple locations. This includes responsibility for driving key HR initiatives in areas like talent acquisition, performance management, change management, employee coaching, compensation planning, succession planning, training and development, rewards & recognition, organizational effectiveness and employee communication, while evaluating these processes to make sure they are competitive and fit a ‘digital first’ workforce.
A key role for you to partner with the business on emerging opportunities, including new partnerships, acquisitions, and potential joint ventures.
A great opportunity for you to proactively get to know digital talent in the marketplace and evaluate them for current or future opportunities within the company; at the same time also evaluate opportunities for us to build our own internal pipeline of digital talent, while ensuring that our approaches position us to attract and retain the talent we need.
An exciting challenge to establish yourself as a ‘go to’ digital HR leader within NBCUniversal, proactively identifying, sourcing, and evaluating talent within the digital content space, building awareness and relationships within the industry, and advising on approaches to digital talent across the rest of the company.
Qualifications/Requirements You Have:
A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field of study.
7+ years of relevant experience as an HR business partner.
Prior HR experience working with a primarily digital workforce.
Unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
A desire and willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.

Desired Characteristics Nice to Have:
An understanding of how to successfully manage digital talent, bringing best practices to the table.
A Master’s degree in HR or related field.
Experience on the HR side of business development activities like acquisitions, partnerships, joint ventures, and new business startups.
A passion for talent selection and knowledge of recruitment trends and practices, with established networks.
Experience building a talent pipeline, ideally in the digital space.
Confidence as an HR partner, operating independently while also seeking out advice and expertise when needed.
The ability to build a thoughtful HR strategy and agenda for the business, and get stuff done.
Great communication skills, comfort in communicating your point of view, selling your ideas, interacting at all levels within the company, and acting as a great spokesperson for the organization, our brands, and the company.
A business mind, taking the time to understand the business, its strategy, operations and financials and seeking out ways to advance the business through the lens of its people.
A strong sense of courage and excitement for taking some calculated risks, trying new and creative approaches to solving talent challenges, making mistakes, learning from them, all while taking into consideration the broader HR ecosystem within the company.
