Director Global Safety Security Intuit Mountain View

This position will drive management of our physical security efforts across the company, including partnerships with information technology, human resources, communications, legal, finance, internal audit, workplace services and other groups, to identify security initiatives and standards.

This leader will work with enterprise groups in the development and implementation of a global security strategy designed to provide a high level of protection for an expanding global SaaS development business environment.
Responsibilities:

Site Security and Safeguarding of our People and our Assets: Coordinate and implement physical site security plans and operations to ensure protection of employees, visitors, vendors, assets, and infrastructure
Develop an effective strategy to mitigate risk, maintain continuity of operations, and safeguard the organization. Protection responsibilities include workplace violence prevention, access control systems, video surveillance, and emergency protocols (e.g., disaster recovery, text messaging alerts, and employee safety verification procedures)
Ensure safety and security of our people while enhancing our culture of openness and transparency
Executive, Talent and Special Protection: Assess on an ongoing basis potential specific threats to key executives, talent, and other employees or third parties, especially those who attend public events or travel to high-risk areas or countries. Develop and implement procedures to minimize and guard against these threats
Policy Development, Training and Communication: Manage the development and implementation of global security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure ongoing maintenance of security, including crisis response scenario planning. Engage in training and certification protocols when necessary to address specified risks. Ensure that executives, talent, and employees receive regular communications regarding safety issues, threats, and developments
Relationships with Law Enforcement and Intelligence Communities: Maintain appropriate relationships with local, state and federal law enforcement and other related government agencies, including the Department of Homeland Security and relevant intelligence community agencies. Assist and advise on immigration matters as appropriate
Monitoring and Audits: Identify and deploy the internal and external tools necessary to identify emerging threats to employees and to business activities. Ensure that the tools deployed include business intelligence and social media monitoring and intelligence collection. Engage in periodic security audits measured against appropriate industry standards
Partner on investigations regarding security threats and potential unlawful activity. Collaborate closely with the other relevant departments (e.g., Legal, Data Security, Privacy, Corporate Compliance, Human Resources) regarding these matters
Ensure compliance with EH&S regulations and obligations in all geographies
Enterprise Risk Management: Work in close partnership with other relevant departments (e.g., Finance, BU Operations, Real Estate & Workplace) to develop a comprehensive enterprise risk management plan
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Administration, Criminal Justice or equivalent experience
Minimum 10 years of experience in corporate security leadership and strong working knowledge of pertinent law and the law enforcement community.
Experience with business continuity planning, auditing, and/or risk management
Demonstrated experience leading a large team or workforce of security or law enforcement professionals
Experience hiring and supervising critical third-party resources (e.g., contractors, vendors, consultants).
Ability be a value-added partner and collaborator who demonstrates boundryless leadership
Solid understanding of information technology and information security
Experience successfully communicating or presenting to all levels of the organization, including briefing executive management and board of directors (and committees) on status of security issues.
Experience leading large scale, enterprise wide projects
Submit to and pass a detailed background investigation
Experience with technology, software, creative or media industry operations
Advanced degree in Business, Public Administration, Criminal Justice or J.D. degree
Results-driven, adaptable with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Strong project management skills
Strong leadership, partnership, collaboration and influencing skills
Ability to work effectively and productively in a highly diverse, creative, fast-paced, multi-cultural environment
