The Controller position is a leadership role on the NBCU Owned Television Stations Headquarters Finance team responsible for all controllership related activities for the division. This role will work closely with the HQ leadership team and will partner with the television station finance teams across the country.

Develop and document accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls as well as ensuring accurate and consistent treatment across the division
Research and advice on technical accounting issues, working with the corporate controllership team
Implement corporate controllership guidelines/processes to the division
Oversee quarterly close processes including establishing deadlines, reporting coordination and/or preparation, and account reconciliation reviews
Manage Balance Sheet review process
Lead and support all divisional audits (corporate & external)
Ownership of internal controls, analysis, and audit of division’s T&E (travel and entertainment) expenses
Support adhoc projects across the division to evaluate and identify process improvements
Qualifications/Requirements
Minimum of Bachelors Degree in Accounting
Minimum of 7 years of experience in Accounting or Finance, with demonstrated progression
Competent technical skills, including the ability to interpret and apply accounting standards to business transactions
CPA & Public accounting experience preferred (or demonstrated application of technical accounting guidance)
Process and systems awareness, including the ability to identify and mitigate control weaknesses
Strong communication skills and a pro-active approach to building working relationships
Ability to work in a fast, dynamic environment, and prioritize competing priorities
