The Director of Channel & Partnerships is critical role on the Evernote Go-To-Market team. You are responsible for the development, expansion, and management of new and existing Evernote partners worldwide. A major focus area and core responsibility will be leading the design, development, and rollout of a channel distribution model for the Evernote portfolio. This role reports to the SVP of Sales & Partnerships and will partner closely with functional leaders in headquarters and around the world.
You will initially run a partnership team of 2 while working with the global leads and indirect reports worldwide. As a cohesive global team, they will lead the evaluation, financial modeling, and overall design of a new channel distribution model to drive growth.
The position is based in Redwood City, CA and includes some domestic and international travel.
As the leader of our Channel & Partnerships team, this director is responsible for the new development, management and performance of a set of new and established global partnerships. These global partnerships span software, telecommunications, and OEM. This Director will be able to demonstrate their experiences in product integration, marketing, and go-to-market with along with a core understanding of channel distribution software or Saas growth models.
We are looking for a passionate, talented and experienced business leader ideally with SMB market experience. Success in building or operating a channel/distribution partnership model, ideally including 3rd party marketplaces, is idea. Having a track record of developing cross-functional relationships across sales, marketing, legal, product, and engineering is an important foundation for success.
Responsibilities

Ultimate responsibility for Evernote’s partnership model from strategy to execution including referrals, channel, and integrations.
Develop the strategy for a channel sales go-to-market model implement its successful implementation.
Develop the strategic vision and operating structure for partnerships to maximum benefit for customers, partners, and Evernote.
Run with negotiations, management, and maintenance of all new and existing partner relationships.
Work directly with partner executives for core strategic partners.
Ensure that all operating partnership issues are brought to resolution while advancing to the Evernote leadership team as necessary.
Actively collaborate with General Managers in Europe, Asia, and China in developing and supporting worldwide partnerships.
You will work closely with product, marketing, legal, sales and engineering teams to evaluate, explore, and execute strategic partnership opportunities.

Required Skills and Experience

5+ years experience leading Business Development, or Partner/Channel Management teams and strategy.
5+ years experience as an individual contributor in a Business Development, or Partner/Channel Manager role that required understanding of complex and rare target-customer/partner situations and requirements.
You have significant experience identifying, negotiating and managing strategic partnerships.
Channel distribution model design and development experience is critical to success.
Experience with technology, telecommunications, and OEM partnerships expected.
Confident & low ego. Exceptional interpersonal skills and business negotiation skills.
You have strong written, presentation and verbal communications
MBA degree with technical or product management background preferred.
