Our team is responsible for creating and driving game-changing innovations and excellence in Lean Manufacturing that leverages from game changing innovation and excellence in the areas of Human Resources Management, and Health, Safety and Environment for contract workers, unlocking business value for NIKE Inc. and its manufacturing partners by creating a stable and agile source base where contract workers are engaged and empowered.

As our Sustainable Manufacturing & Sourcing Labor Manager you will be responsible for supporting the HRM Director’s strategy that drives improved business performance globally by supporting the deployment of Labor practices that support the NIKE Inc Code of Conduct across the Nike Inc contract factory base, including all product engines and brands within the NIKE Inc family. Within this scope of work, you will also be responsible for supporting the Global Product and Licensing business; liaising with their team to create visibility to their licensing partner’s sourcing and compliance footprint and sharing best practices from Sustainable Manufacturing and Sourcing.

You will also be responsible for supporting key program initiatives in support of the overall strategy; liaising with the various Nike Inc field teams on process improvements; reporting and managing the information and materials used to support best practices in the field. You will be responsible for assisting the HRM Director in the operational management of key external stakeholders such as the Fair Labor Association, Better Works/ILO, and the Society for Human Resources Management.

Where needed, you will work closely with our Sustainable Business and Innovation, and Manufacturing Revolution partners to ensure they receive regular updates on critical programs being managed through the team.

Although a background in HRM would be preferred, it is not a deal breaker. We are looking for someone who will bring curiosity and creative thinking to the work, along with a proven track record of delivering innovative and robust solutions to a complex and diverse supply chain.

You will need strong process discipline, as well as partnership and influencing skills in order to support the deployment of Nike Inc.’s Labor Excellence and Innovation strategy to engage proactively with the country-based HRM teams globally to ensure access to and the consistent deployment of materials that support the high standards of labor practice across Nike Inc.’s contract factory supply chain.
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
Masters degree in Human Resources Management or a relevant business degree preferred
5+ years of experience supporting best practice in HRM-related policies and processes for a company’s practice; or improved industry best practice
Proven ability to support the deployment of best practices across a broad base of cross-functional business stakeholders
Proven ability to support and engage across a broad base of cross-functional external stakeholders including NGO’s, academia, entrepreneurs, industry organizations
Strong formal and informal communications skills where complex concepts and ideas are understood at all levels of the organization
Willing and able to lead by example and to take responsibility to achieve business results
Understands and has experience in the power of systems innovation, collaboration and influencing to achieve business results
Willingness and ability to travel 10% of your time
