The Director, Government Security and Compliance will serve as a senior member of the security and compliance team and report to the Director, Global Security Operations. The Director, Government Security and Compliance is responsible for all aspects of Concur’s corporate and Business services for security related incidents and managing Cyber Intelligence & Incident Response teams at Concur. This individual will have the opportunity to work on building out our next-generation global cyber intelligence program.

Primary Position Responsibilities:


Directs the development, design and implementation of complex long-term security operations processes and technologies worldwide for Concur Technologies. including security controls, protocols and practices in conjunction and collaboration with other security representatives throughout the company
Directs the development of policies to ensure a secure operational environment for Concur.
Directs the Security Incident and Response Management processes and technologies and provides an effective response to Concur customers for computer security incidents or concerns
Directs the support of internal IT and Hosting Operations in response to Security related incidents
Provides Forensic and legal support where required
Handles focused projects involving multiple disciplines or business units
Works independently and with management on high visible, divisional/cross-divisional complex projects
Sought as a key resource for resolution of unique or complex business problems
Advances the interest of the company by serving on teams that are external to the organization when appropriate
Drives continuous improvement and efficiencies beyond own scope of responsibility
Individual typically has at least 8+ yrs of related experience Job Responsibilities & Requirements
Basic Job Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in security operations with a sophisticated view of the current threat and scape including Botnets, Exploits, Hacktivism and Nation State Actors
Provide expertise in defining and improving the security of Concur products via interaction with R&D
Improve the security of Concur’s information infrastructure and minimize the threat of damage resulting from intrusions
Research ROI factors and manage large scale projects related to security
Coordinate with Network Engineering team on technical security to network infrastructure
Evangelize new security features (based on ROI) to R&D, Corporate IT and Hosting Operations
Take an active and insightful role in group discussions
Record all tasks in Vantive
Be aware of, and comply with, all corporate policies.
Position Requirements

Minimum Job Specific Knowledge and Competencies required to do this job:


Expert understanding of security concepts, principles and practices, including fundamental knowledge of OSI model and intrusion detection
Demonstrable knowledge in advanced UNIX and NT security administration
Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining network security and network systems including LANs/WANs/VPNs/Firewalls and IDS’s
Experience with firewall/IDS installation, configuration, troubleshooting and on-going management
Experience with anti-viral software and recovery
Experience developing and implementing Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent communication and documentation skills utilizing MS Word, MS Project, MS Excel and Visio
Ability to perform after hours, shift work, and be on call via pager during designated periods



Preferred Job Specific Knowledge and Competencies:

Experience supporting a hosted ASP environment

Work Experience/Years, Education and Other Certifications:

Bachelor degree in Information Technology or related field
12 – 15 years practical experience
Certified Information Security Systems Professional (CISSP) certification a requirement
Ability to pass a background check.
