We are in the market for a vice president to support the Global Head of Aladdin Quality Engineering (AQE) and serve as a key member of the staff responsible for COO activities and coordination of APG & AQE initiatives. The VP will direct and/or support project management and coordination. He/she will own the team’s internal and external communications, advise management on technology trends and opportunities and implement organizational enhancements and large-scale AQE efforts. This individual will be a key player in creating and communicating the team’s strategy within BlackRock

Key responsibilities for the position will include:

Help define and drive strategy – establish objectives and focus areas for AQE and action plans to build the bridge between current and future state
Stay abreast of the external technology / FinTech community and share “outside-in” perspectives and learnings for AQE
Manage the development, implementation, and tracking of key projects and initiatives
Monitor AQE wide initiatives and move them forward
Draft presentations for APG leadership, external and internal conferences/meetings and other senior management discussions
Recommend opportunities to improve AQE’s engagement with senior leaders across BlackRock and bring sharp focus to AQE’s technology within BlackRock
Manage the program of work for accelerating Software quality thought leadership inside BlackRock and through internal forums

Ability to synthesize and analyze large quantities of data to create useful information and concise analyses
Ability to effectively manage projects; results oriented and able to “roll-up the sleeves” in order to accomplish necessary tasks
Structured communication skills: ability to communicate complex ideas top-down, ask targeted questions to arrive at solutions
Facility with various communication methods including Prezi, Ted Talks, MeetUps, PowerPoint and memos
Precision / attention to detail
Ability to work across diverse markets and cultures
Team player
Extremely high attention to detail and strong work ethic
BS/BA or equivalent
