The Print Production Manager role within Apple’s Graphic Design group provides print production expertise, strong purchasing and project management skills and the ability to maintain schedules and budgets for all pre-press and printed materials on various substrates. The range of work includes pre-press, packaging, large corporate event graphics, collateral projects, retail window and in-store graphics, signage, gift cards, and premiums.
Watch: Career Advice Candidate must have expert color analysis skills and extensive experience working pre-press in RGB and CMYK with an eye towards quality and detail. Must also have in-depth familiarity with digital printing, large and small format litho, and specialty finishing techniques. Experience with digital and photographic mediums in both large and small formats is a plus. The position works cross-functionally with other teams in the Marcom group and is responsible for facilitating effective routing and reviewing of projects through the department.

Must be a strong Print Production Manager who is flexible, proactive, highly organized, excellent at multi-tasking, very comfortable under pressure, and able to work effectively as a team member.
Functional with reviewing Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop files.
Candidate must also be willing to travel, sometimes internationally.
Must be able to track and manage multiple assets and versions for color reviews and sign-offs.
Communicates fully, effectively and diplomatically, and exhibits proactive, solution oriented thinking and execution.
Works collaboratively in partnership with others, maintains professional demeanor under pressure and in situations of ambiguity.

Description
Specific focus on pre-press, R&D for new hardware packaging, unique substrate development, as well as Corporate Event graphics. Scheduling milestones, maintaining production deadlines, and communicating any obstacles that would jeopardize deadlines and deliverables. Determining specs, estimating and/or competitively bidding all projects, maintaining budgets; communicating any obstacles that would require additional funding; conducting negotiations with suppliers as necessary. Reconciling of all invoices, tracking all projects to overall quarterly budgets. Establishing direct relationships with key suppliers, and negotiating best quality and value; researching vendors and new processes in order to achieve maximum value and innovation.
Education
BA or BS degree preferred.
