Duties: CNN has an open position for a Manager, Digital Research within the Ad Sales Research group. This position will help support a digital advertising sales team responsible for selling CNN's Digital Portfolio as the most effective advertising vehicles for reaching advertisers' objectives.
Responsibilities: Reporting to a Sr. Director, this individual will ensure that the research needs/requirements for the CNN Digital sales team are met in an efficient and timely manner.

Details:
- Gives working-level direction to analysts/senior analysts. Also performs work beyond management of timelines and assignment of responsibilities to ensure objectives are met by established deadlines. Makes recommendations on the delivery deadlines.
- Has a strong understanding of behavioral and primary research data that may be gathered from the organization's sites and syndicated data providers.
- Manage primary research projects from ideation through inception and dissemination. This will include the ability to meet with senior members of different teams to garner consensus on topics, choosing methodology, fielding research, analyzing research, packaging research visually, and finally presenting it to clients and the industry at large.
- Works with manager and helps lead research team in creating and updating sales decks, one-sheeters, materials, dashboards, and reports that highlight and position CNN's digital portfolio positively within the Ad Sales marketplace.
- Develops methods to collect and analyze data available to the organization to make better decisions and to help with sales support materials and positioning pieces highlighting successes versus competition.
- Establishes and maintains good relationships and communication with sales clients, other Turner research groups, and research vendors/other providers of data.
- Keep up to date with trends in the digital landscape including multi-platform viewing, advertising formats, consumer behavior, and advertising receptivity especially in the news marketplace.
- Possesses some cross-platform research and analytics expertise: online, mobile and on-air.
- Create analyses to transform data into valuable and actionable research information and insights. Draws reasonable and actionable conclusions from research. Responsible for presenting these insights and resulting recommendations to peers and senior management.

Qualifications: Bachelor degree or higher. 5+ years of digital media research experience. Digital Ad Sales research skills or experience. Strong understanding of the digital industry, expertise in internal Web and Mobile tracking solutions (Adobe, etc.) and syndicated research sources (comScore, Nielsen @Plan, MRI, etc.). Strong MS Office skills, specifically Excel and PowerPoint. Must be able to work independently, as well as part of a team. Solid project management skills: able to work on multiple projects, reprioritize as needed, and consistently deliver on time. Must be a strategic thinker. Requires excellent analytical, verbal and writing skills. Experience with ad effectiveness tracking tools, such as those provided by Millward Brown, etc. Familiarity with on-air measurement tools. Positioning multiple media properties a plus.
