You will be part of Cisco’s Digitization Office, which has responsibility for driving cross-company initiatives to accelerate Cisco’s software and recurring revenue business. The team you will be joining has responsibility for driving the development of innovative monetization approaches for Cisco’s enterprise products, including networking, data center, collaboration, security, and IoT. Our work is extremely cross-functional; virtual teams for our major initiatives typically having 30-300 members, including representatives across the functional teams (product mgmt., engineering, marketing, sales, channel, finance, operations, supply chain, etc.). Specific to this role, there are already teams staffed within operations, IT, engineering, and supply chain to execute the strategy that you define. We need your leadership to develop the strategy, prioritize the scenarios, and coordinate across these functions to make it happen.

You can develop a business strategy and secure approval from executive management. You can lead a cross-functional initiative with up to 100 virtual team members spanning most functions. You can capture product requirements and partner with the implementation teams to execute them, revising plans to deliver the best return. You excel at communications, especially across a range of audiences, from executive progress reviews to weekly v-team meetings. You’re comfortable engaging directly with customers and partners, to solicit their feedback on the proposed approach, and alter course accordingly. While this role is an individual contributor, you have team management experience, which will be important in leading the virtual team immediately, and for potential future roles.

• 10+ years working in/with large enterprises in cross-functional leadership roles
• Software licensing and entitlement management (e.g., licensing keys, product telemetry)
• Customer lifecycle management (land, deploy, adopt, expand, renew)
• Strategy development and evangelism
• Customer licensing portals (creation, management, maintenance)
• Entitlement Infrastructure (architecture, implementation, maintenance)
• Knowledge of the customer entitlement experience (positive engagement)
• Revenue assurance (e.g., anti-piracy, software asset management)
