NBC Universal has an opening for a Director of Intranet and Mobility – Corporate Systems in the O&TS group.
JOB PURPOSE:
This position is central in providing leadership to team members, business customers, technical teams and third-party providers to deliver solutions enabling Corporate Communications, SAP Portal and Mobile Development teams to meet their strategic and operational responsibilities, consistently and efficiently.

• Provide leadership across multiple technology domains and disciplines with a focus on driving change into the traditional technology environment to support a user experience that is consistent with technology objectives, intuitive, and connected.
• Enhance relationship with internal and external business stakeholders with focus on anticipating needs, prioritizing requests, and delivering quality solutions on budget and on time.
• Create, maintain and monitor budgets, ensuring budgets and estimates are accurate and complete through monitoring project and operational pacing, and identifying obligations, risks and opportunities.
• Ensure rigor is maintained for documentation and reporting of projects and ongoing support requirements, such as work plans, test cases, ticket tracking, etc.
• Provide leadership in the area of web application design, user interface innovations, process flows, wireframes, and visual design mockups, mobile app development.
• Coordinate with Solution Architects, Portal team members, Basis, Security and other teams within the CoE and other IT teams as needed to integrate applications correctly into SAP environments from Sandbox thru Production.
• Facilitate continuous improvement through creating process to identify and address performance bottlenecks in the software, debugging issues in real-time, change management and lessons learned.
This position reports to the VP, Corporate Systems.
Qualifications/Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Art/Graphic Design, Computer Science or Human/Computer Interaction (or equivalent professional degree preferred.)
• 10 years of experience interacting and partnering with customers and business stakeholders and interfacing with server, database, storage and application teams.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in an Information Technology organization assessing, implementing, planning and budgeting for technical solutions.
• Minimum 7 years effectively leading project teams, driving engagement, and influencing across multiple functions in a matrix type setting, with specific experience managing developers.
• Minimum 4 years leading teams who specialize in UI/UX design experience, wireframe, iOS and/or Android software development in languages such as Java/Javascript, C++, J2EE, .NET, SAP Portal 6.0 or later, and Redhat OS.
• Minimum 3 years experience managing vendor delivery against MSAs and SOWs, including change processes for both fixed bid and time and materials agreements.
• Experience utilizing offshore resources and/or multiple teams in at least 3 large multi-phase projects.

• Performance tuning skills, including refactoring, code profiling and monitoring
• Scripting skills: JavaScript
• Experience with various development methodologies; Agile, TDD or Waterfall. Experience in ESS is a plus.
• Experience with Netweaver file system layouts is a plus.
• Strong knowledge/skills in the iOS and Android stack, HTML/5, CSS and responsive design
• Release management and configuration management experience.
• Knowledge of SSO and CDI group systems.
• Experience successfully planning and leading at least one full SAP Portal project life cycle implementation a service pack upgrade.
