Moody’s Analytics is seeking a highly-accomplished leader to take charge of the global Build & Deployment function for Enterprise Risk Solutions (ERS). The Build & Deployment function is part of the Global DevOps group, supporting CI, formal build, release management and deployment processes for all ERS products. The Global DevOps function in ERS enables increased velocity of development teams by letting them focus on what they do best – developing world-class software products for our clients. The Director - DevOps will assist in implementing the DevOps vision within the global business. He or she is also responsible for contributing to the vision, long term strategy, and roadmap of DevOps within the organization.

• Define DevOps along with quality guidelines and standards.
• Lead in project planning processes.
• Establish and maintain test environments.
• Coordinate with vendors to resolve problems.
• Leads technical evaluation of new technologies and tools.
• Serve as tactical relationship manager between DevOps teams, business, senior LOB management, and vendors.
• Manage and mentor global team of DevOps engineers team (~20 staff members) based in the United States (California), France, Scotland, Singapore, and China.
Global DevOps Team
• Comprehensive expertise (10 years) in the following areas:
o Subject matter expertise in multiple strategic areas.
o Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret complex problems or processes, identify and understand requirements, and develop alternative solutions.
o Design, implementation, and management of Continuous Integration and Deployment processes for large size organization
o Extensive Cloud experience (Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google) especially in architecting, deploying, and managing production workloads
o Proven record of managing medium to large size DevOps engineering team(s).
• BS in Computer Science (or equivalent)
• Masters in Business Administration or graduate degree in related field a plus.
• Additional coursework and/or some training certifications are preferred.
• The key competencies for this position include the following:
o Deep Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) including Agile Development Methodology, in Build & Release functions including SCM, CI-related functions (Build & Release, Application Operations etc.)
o Excellent communication, interpersonal, and, consultative skills, work effectively with clients, vendors, peers, and business/IT management.
o Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
o Ability to stay current on trends and development within functional area of experience along with the industry.
o Experience with build tools such as Ant, Maven, MSBuild.
o Experience with dependency management tools such as Nexus, NuGet, Ivy and Artifactory.
o Strong experience with SCM solutions such as Perforce, Subversion and Git.
o Deep experience with CI servers such as Jenkins and TeamCity.
o Experience with automation tools such as Puppet, Chef, and Saltstack
o Experience with automating deployments for both Java and .NET applications, including to a range of Java application servers such as Tomcat, WebSphere, WebLogic and JBoss.
o Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
o Willingness to learn, a can do attitude, and motivated to succeed and grow.
o Knowledge of at least one and preferably two programming languages (e.g. Java, C/C++/C#)
o Must demonstrate accountability, sound decision making, analytical thoroughness, clear and concise communications, and the ability to lead and mentor team members.
