Twitter is looking for a seasoned marketing leader to help set the vision for the brand, and clearly articulate it to the world. Twitter has a unique brand that is almost ubiquitously known, and organically promoted in other media channels every single day. This role is primarily about taking the magic that happens on the Twitter platform, as well as the extraordinary earned media we receive, and converting it into a clear consumer benefit that can be communicated everywhere, every day. Through a range of strategies, the successful candidate will lead a team that answers one simple question in the mind’s of non-users: why should I use Twitter every day?

The successful candidate will need to have deep expertise in taking large brands / products to market, working cross-functionally and globally, and the ability to turn a range of data sources into consumer insights. Success in 2017 will not simply look like a powerful moment in time, but a brand that is present in the lives of our audience, at the speed of Twitter.
The Director of Brand Marketing will oversee a number of different functions. Planning will help the team get to the sharpest consumer truths and clearest creative brief. The brand activations team will help translate strategy into world-class campaigns and experiences. The LIVE marketing team will communicate the benefit of premium live streaming on Twitter, in a way that supports the overall brand. Stitching this all together in a way that is greater than the sum of its parts will be the Director of Brand Marketing. This role reports into the Senior Director of Marketing.
Desired Skills and Experience
10+ years of marketing experience - a mix of client and agency experience highly desirable.
A clear track record of defining, nurturing and growing brands globally.
Deep expertise in planning and taking products / brands to market.
Experience working with world class creative teams and managing agency relationships.
Expertise in content marketing and social media highly desirable. Strong creative and editorial sensibilities.
Independent, flexible self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, high volume environment
A leader who can set vision and inspire others.
