The Senior Director of HR Business, People Partnerships and Operations reports directly to the CHRO/CPO, supporting BBC’s people initiatives. The position is responsible for developing, coordinating and executing all employee and labor relations activity in support of Boston Beer. Through strong partnering relationships with BBC COE’s, Shared Services and location HR teams, the position will drive a culture of continuous improvement. The position drives development, coaching and mentoring of HRBP’s across Boston Beer. Functional collaboration with BBC recruitment, benefits, compensation, employee relations, HRIS, leadership and organizational development initiatives are critical. This role encompasses the employee life cycle: Recruiting, On-Boarding, Cultural Immersion programs, Training, Learning and Development, Mentoring, Rotational and Career Pathing opportunities.

What you'll do:

Partner with Boston Beer location and functional teams in the delivery of all operational/ HR commitments and ensure complete integrity of organizational results.
Through relationships, lead, manage through influence, develop and motivate the Boston Beer HR Business Partner and location HR teams. Ensure that a high mission of service is consistent with each member and that the solutions being provided are thorough and connected to company goals. Ensure the linkage of common goals and objectives between the groups and with the Boston Beer organization.
Develop and execute HR programs that support the Manufacturing, Brewing, Sales, Office and Support organizations’ overall strategic direction. Programs should positively impact the attraction, motivation, development and retention of talent as well as maintain the company’s strong culture.
Establish strong working relationships throughout BBC as a customer service orientated department so that people want to seek out HR for help in working through organizational and people issues.
Assess organizational and leadership development initiatives against best practices to promote operational efficiency, effective succession planning and a consistently positive culture.
Develop appropriate policies and programs for employee relations issues. Provide ongoing education around these issues.
Provide a developmental environment for all direct reports and employees by identifying strengths and opportunities, competencies and skills, development areas, and holding employees accountable to development plans with measured results.
Identify legal areas of risk within the company as it relates to the human resources area. Provide ongoing education around these issues to mitigate risk.
Establish and ensure consistent application of HR programs, policies and practices used throughout the organization.
Maintain and improve BBC organizational health. Own the BBC employee survey process and action plans for defined groups.
Manage succession planning and talent review programs for employee groups. Develop internal talent and proactively identify / address upgrade opportunities. Continuously review process to make changes resulting in improved outcomes.
Responsible for establishing and maintaining employment policies and practices which comply with federal and state regulations, e.g. Harassment, EEO, FMLA and other training.
Continually assess communication channels within and across BBC. Proactively measure and improve same, with a focus on cultural and generational needs and expectations.

What we’re looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development or other related field
MBA or Master’s degree preferred
20 years of human resources experience in progressive environment with at least 10 years of positive people management experience.
Extensive knowledge of employment law and employee relations matters.
Labor relations experience preferred.
Strong computer skills with all MSOffice products.
Proven ability to think strategically and translate strategies into actionable plans.
Team-based, collaborative interpersonal style
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills working with all levels of employees

Managerial responsibilities:
Leads and manages HR Managers and Business Partners supporting Boston Beer.

Travel:
Travel to BBC locations, including participation/leading sessions within breweries. Cold, heat, wet conditions.
