Reporting to the VP Product Marketing Solutions & Shared Services, the Product Marketing Director Ecosystem is accountable for delivering effective commercial strategies for new innovation offerings such as Integration, Payroll, Compliance and Banking Cloud. Closely coordinating activities with product delivery, marketing, sales and partners & alliances functions, the Product Marketing Director [Ecosystem] delivers innovative messaging, pricing, positioning and product marketing strategies to achieve fast customer adoption of new innovative solutions and to energize sales, marketing and channel partners to do the same.

Responsibilities:

Accountable for the overall commercial success of innovation offerings, working with the industry's best product marketing team to define the positioning, go-to-market messaging and plans, pricing, tiering, naming and strategies for new innovation offerings (Integration, Payroll, Compliance and Banking Cloud).
Build a compelling revenue growth strategy for innovation offerings and manage delivery of the proposition roadmap, working with the other marketing teams and the Segment and Country Product Marketing Directors that delivers against the financial targets as defined in the business plan.
Identify and advance relevant business opportunities based on deep customer and market understanding; Lead and champion engagement with those opportunities and propositions cross functionally, to ensure successful delivery.
Define the customer value proposition for innovation offerings and maximise the customer and Sage benefits from effectively defining, positioning and optimizing the roles of partners & alliances in the overall CVP,
Develop a rich understanding of the market, analysing customer and competitor trends in intricate detail, and gleaning insight that is powerful and compelling
Lead the creation of exciting, innovative product launch plans for innovation offerings that are fully synchronised with business and revenue goals and ensure effective and ongoing relevancy in the market to drive demand generation and pipeline.
Act as a key contact for the marketing organization to provide content, customer insights and feedback as they create innovative marketing campaigns, SEO, web design persona development and target marketing refinements to build pipeline for new innovation solutions.
Partner with a world class Product Management team to distill key functionality and benefits into core product marketing messages.
Partner with GTM to develop consistent, standard, award-winning product marketing materials, effective sales training materials and engaging product demonstrations for all new innovation offerings that are used on stage, in videos and are the basis for customer engagements in the sales and decision process.
Serve as marketing’s sign-off for all customer facing material and collateral related to Sage’s innovation offerings to ensure correct positioning and messaging is adhered to, to drive maximum effect and return.

Qualifications:

Strong knowledge of the IT industry (accounting technology and/or software experience an asset), the business management needs and challenges faced by customers and competitors in the space.
10+ years product marketing experience
Experience launching innovation and new technology products to disrupt markets through innovative ideas balanced with market research.
Experience/familiarity with the customer engagement lifecycle and accounting solutions applications.
Ability to work in an international and matrix environment
Proven creative thinker that independently generates and executes on innovative marketing ideas. Proven track record in crafting compelling positioning and thought leadership content.
Hands-on ability to create a range of marketing assets (including on-message product demo videos, sharp succinct slide pitch-decks).
Strong communication and writing skills in English and ability to work across business lines, presenting to executive leadership and at different levels of management. Proven speaker comfortable in large audiences
Super-star skills managing multiple projects with very tight deadlines.
Exceptional team player with proven ability to lead through influence.
Strong experience in operating at both a strategic and operational level – Established experience launching successful products in highly competitive technology markets.
