The Transactions Manager will lead negotiations for less complex deals (early and late stage), and will be a key member of teams led by a Transactions Leader for more complex deals.
S/he will report to the Head of Specialty and Primary Care Transactions with a specific area of focus on specialty and primary care transactions, but will transact on deals outside of the cluster when assigned. S/he will lead or co-lead cross-functional deal teams to formulate, value, test, and present business cases to senior management in support of deals that s/he will negotiate to completion if approved. S/he will be expected to negotiate or support potential transactions involving a variety of deal structures which may include traditional licenses, clinical collaborations, co-development/commercialization agreements and acquisitions.

Qualifications
Education:
Bachelors’ degree is required.
Required:
Minimum of 5 years in pharmaceutical and/or biotech business development roles OR 5 years of other relevant experience
Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal skills and creativity in applying analytical frameworks and solutions to business issues are critical
Demonstrated ability to partner with senior leadership
Understanding of scientific principles, intellectual property and the drug development process
Solid understanding and experience with financial analysis, competitive intelligence including sensitivity to deal comparables, small company analyses and presentation development.
Experience leading transactions and experience as member of the transactions team very desirable.
Preferred:
Advanced degree in science, business, law and/or finance preferred.
