The Director of Logistics provides oversight and direction across the Raytheon Logistics organization. This position will be responsible for providing planning, forecasting, and monitoring of the flow of goods, services, and information from origin through delivery in order to meet customer requirements and ensures the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistics processes, such as replenishment systems, data interchange systems, demand management, electronic data systems administration, warehouse operations, and related functions by means of data gathering, data analysis, measures and metrics development, projections, trends, variances and graphical depiction of elements, for business decision-making, risk analysis and process optimization.

This position reports directly to the Sr. Director, Global Logistics and International Supply Chain.





Responsibilities include:


· Leading a diverse, virtual Supply Chain Logistics Leadership Team and be a catalyst for accountability, empowered ideas, R6S improvements, trust and respect, and strong two-way communication and technology integration.

· Developing and communicating an organizational vision, comprehensive strategy and actions to achieve that strategy that all Supply Chain employees can understand and identify their role to achieve success.

· Identifying opportunities for process improvements and collaboration within the business unit supply chain team to increase competitive advantage

· Anticipate internal customers’ needs and gaps and provide solutions to reduce cycle-time and cost

· Leveraging relationships with enterprise Supply Chain and Contracts organizations to provide competitive advantage and advance best practices.

· Oversee logistics budgets and metrics by analyzing and reporting data, providing leadership and direction to address areas of concern

· Leading all compliance and governance matters which include internal/external audits and compliance with policies, procedures and government regulations.

· Ensuring use of common processes and practices and implementing operational improvements to be shared across all departments and areas within the business

· Working closely with other functional areas and staff (Finance/HR/IT/Facilities) to build relationships and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives, as well as providing needed support and resources for other staff initiatives

Required Skills:


· Demonstrated experience in Freight and Warehouse Management (3PL/4PL)

· A minimum of 14 years’ experience, preferably in multiple aspects of Supply Chain and Business Management.

· A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Logistics Management

· Ability to build relationships with strategic customers through logistics initiatives.

· Strong, proven and visible leadership history with demonstrated ability to implement change through direct and indirect relationships.

· Exemplary oral and written communication skills, ability to listen well and communicate effectively with others

· Demonstrated ability to understand financial information, budgets, and program performance and develop strategies to improve performance in these areas

· Demonstrated people-management skills, and experience leading large teams; ability to coach, motivate and empower others and to develop talent

· Ability to build and maintain effective relationships based on mutual respect with peers, customers and team members

· Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing a comprehensive strategic plan

· Proven ability to collaborate across the organization and operate effectively within a matrix environment by resolving conflict and influencing others

· Strong risk and opportunity management skills

· Demonstrated knowledge of earned value and other SCM related metrics

· Strong critical thinking skills, ability to exercise independent judgment and manage complexity and ambiguity

· Demonstrated knowledge of federal acquisition regulations

· Strong knowledge of government contracting and related subcontracting regulations





Desired Skills:


· Expertise in best commercial practices with understanding/experience in application to aerospace and defense industries.

· International Logistics subject matter expertise including export/import and customs compliance.

· Broad Operations and Supply Chain background and experience to include Material Management, Subcontract Management and Operational leadership

· MBA

· Raytheon Six Sigma Certification

· Leadership Training

Required Education (including Major):


Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, finance, or related field required, Master’s degree preferred
