RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage day-to-day data center operations, including work assignments, deliverables, objectives, goals, and development plans.
Act as final escalation point for technical issues pursued within the Data Center team.
Implement and coordinate the creation of technical service procedures, policies, and manuals.

Continually evaluate the current state of the data center architecture, services and security against goals and objectives, and adapt operational strategies to maintain alignment.

Creatively and independently provide resolution to technical problems in a cost-effective manner.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering or related field.
10+ years in data center management/engineering.
7+ years in mission critical projects on a Data Center.
3+ years of leadership experience in managing and/or directing operational teams.
Project management experience is required.
Expert knowledge of web servers, windows servers, IIS, SQL servers, Apache web servers.
Expert knowledge of virtual networks.
Expert knowledge of storage area networks.
Experience running a data center.
Expert knowledge administering Windows/AD, Unix and Linux systems, and backup and storage technologies.
Solid experience building and managing VMware 4.x or 5.x environments or HyperV.
Proven experience developing and implementing HA and Disaster Recovery plans.
Solid understanding of the network protocol stack; experience with switch and firewall configurations and familiarity with various monitoring tools.
Strong command line and scripting experience (e.g. shell, PowerShell, etc.).
Demonstrated ability to write, speak, and present information effectively and persuasively.
