The Director, Bank Operations Technology (Director) will assist the Business Technology Partner, Operations in implementing new technology solutions that improve business efficiency, while meeting the Operations (Deposit Services, Lending Services) team’s business goals.
The position will provide advice, promote and facilitate the technology needs within the Operations teams. The Director, with direction from the BTP, will oversee implementation of new projects within the Operations groups, driving value and contributions to reach strategic and tactical business objectives.

Responsibilities:

Business Development and Support Develop relationships with Deposit and Lending teams to gain an understanding of the current performance of technologies within these groups, future trends and issues, make recommendations on strategies the organization, and may introduce and implement these as agreed. Identify training and development needs of all business sectors and in conjunction with the BTP, develop and implement these training programs, evaluating the effectiveness of each program. Answer business enquiries, follow up provision of information requests, complaints or identified problems promptly and accurately. Maintain ongoing communications with business units.
Review change request or project request, conduct data gathering interviews and translate business needs into application and software requirements, delivering a detailed Business Requirement or Functional Specification. These requirements address complex and varied business needs ranging from new product development, to changes within existing system processes.
Develop expertise through meeting with internal SME’s on various system functionality to assist business users in development of requirements for enhancements and defect resolution.
Provide relevant technical information associated with the Wires, ACH and other Deposit Services systems to end users and help resolve problems regarding the assigned systems.
Perform duties & responsibilities specific to department functions & activities.
Performs other duties & responsibilities as required or assigned by supervisor.
Responsibilities include the following:
Adhering to and complying with all applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, etc.).
Adhering to Bank policies and procedures.
Completing required training.
Identifying and reporting potential suspicious activity to the BSA/AML Officer.
Knowing and verifying the identity of any customer(s) that enters into a relationship with the Bank.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience; MBA Preferred.
10+ years of experience in Information Technology.
5+ years of experience managing and overseeing corporate projects.
5+ years of experience in a IT business partner role.
3+ years of Business Systems Analyst experience within Financial Services.
3+ years supporting the technology of Bank Operations departments, including Lending and Deposits.
3+ years’ experience supporting a Wire or Payments Systems Superior customer service orientation, advanced analytical and proficient product knowledge.
Strong technical skills and demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adapt to and use new technologies.
Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills; including experience analyzing business problems, identifying solutions and driving the team to the solution.
Excellent Verbal and Written Communication skills; including meeting facilitation and experience communicating and presenting solutions for business problems to business stakeholders; including clear/concise documentation and verbal explanations of complex business operations to developers (Able to communicate technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical personnel).

Experience with multitasking and to function efficiently in a high volume, high risk and fast paced deadline oriented environment.
