The Codes, Standards, Business Development Director will be part of the North America organization based in Wilmington, DE and will be part of the Global FluoroPlastic Melts business team. Roughly 80% of the role is North American focused. This role will be based in Wilmington, DE.

The main objective of the Codes, Standards, Business Development Director is to own and execute the marketing strategy to defend current applications and develop new applications for Fluoroplastics in wire and cable applications.
The main focus currently is in communication cables, like Local Area Networks (LAN) cables, mobile communications cables (WIFI, Cell towers), and cables used in datacenters. The trends of higher data rates and increased power loads over communication cable is of interest as well as the infrastructure needed to handle these increases.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Drive business growth through ownership and execution of the Wire & Cable Marketing strategy and plans
Understanding the trends and market environment for the targeted segment and identifying new applications
Leading the team of experts around the world which will develop and implement the strategy for the targeted segments.
Working with the relevant NGO group industry associations in support of the strategy
Detailed understanding of the associated codes & standards involved and participating in these industry groups.
QUALIFICATIONS:
In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:
Strategic thinker. Comfortable with ambiguity and able to conceive scenarios and develop contingencies
Demonstrated strong business acumen skills
Strong Networking and Influencing skills
Understanding of the Wire & Cable industry, especially communications cables.
Solid track record of execution
Technical degree (engineering preferred)
Proven team leader
Outstanding communicator. Able to influence at all levels of organizations.
Ability to represent complex topics in a simple way.
Trusted thought partner to peers, customers, distributors, installers, test laboratories, codes & standard groups, NGOs, fire marshals, and other key stakeholders.
Ability to travel up to 30%
