The Senior Director, Marketing is responsible for overseeing all aspects of marketing for assigned artists and for coordinating the efforts of the label to ensure the consistency of imaging between artists and their music. The Senior Director, Marketing will help to ensure the efficient day-to-day operation of the Marketing department by successfully accomplishing the following responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

Act as a central point of contact and lead for all assigned projects; work with all departments in meeting deadlines and keeping a creative thread running throughout the projects.
Create and execute overall marketing strategies.
Select and approve visual imagery and creative direction of marketing tools.
Lead brainstorming sessions and ultimately select creative imaging for all promotional and marketing tools.
Create and manage marketing budgets for each project.
Compile and manage various departmental plans and budgets.
Work closely with promotion and publicity departments on scheduling opportunities.
Submit calendar and requests to managers and bookers.
Serve as primary contact for international affiliates/offices for assigned projects.
Negotiate vendor fees.
Forecast revenue and expenses.
Work with management and A&R on assessing artist development needs.
Oversight of artist calendars – making sure they are up-to-date and accurate.
Oversee Manager(s), Marketing and/or Coordinator and assign them projects/artists.
Find creative and innovative marketing exposure and/or non-traditional revenue opportunities.
Lead development and execution of unique 'direct to consumer' campaigns.
Qualifications:

Minimum of 8 years of prior marketing experience, at least 5 of which must have been at a record label.
Must have prior extensive experience with developing and executing marketing plans focusing on urban and/or pop artists.
Must have prior experience creating and managing budgets.
Must be experienced and skilled performing in a liaison role between the artists and the label using tact, persuasion, timing and facilitating direct communication when appropriate and retaining the trust of both the artist and label.
Prior supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
Must have knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet and typical office equipment.
The successful candidate must be organized and have excellent command of language with strong writing skills, telephone skills and interpersonal skills and they will need to be comfortable interacting with high profile clients.
Exceptional people management skills as well as the ability to prioritize, multitask, focus, lead and delegate while working under stressful and demanding situations.
Professional, confident, positive and calm demeanor.
Ability to be detail-oriented, remain flexible, and handle complex issues and tasks with minimal supervision is essential.
Ability to think independently and create and develop ideas that lead to positive change/improvements.
Ability to make sound decisions and solve a variety of problems.
Must be able to accept changes readily, both in job responsibilities as well as in the work environment.
Ability to represent both the artist and the label well to all external contacts.
The use of discretion and the maintenance of high levels of confidentiality are absolutely required.
Must be able to travel to attend meetings/shows/shoots as required.
