The Director of Marketing Promotions routinely interfaces with senior leadership and works closely with a cross functional team including: Sales, R&D, Finance, Medical Affairs etc. The Marketing Promotions Director role guides the business in both the market development and marketing communications strategy. This role will also serve as a leader on key cross functional programs and support marketing activities for products from pre-concept to launch. In addition, this person will be responsible for elevating the overall strategic thinking of the marketing team through providing support in the refinement of marketing plans and commercial execution.

Identifies and remains current on market trends. Determines product/service lifecycle implications and makes recommendations to maintain market competitiveness and to achieve sustainable economic success
Assist the strategic planning process with focus on improving market and competitive data
Understand key market dynamics, customer needs and competitive activities.
Utilize the Marketing Analyst to provide consistent and thorough data to represent market trends, opportunities, and recommended direction.
Assess internal capabilities, and identify product and application marketing opportunities that ensure strong competitive position and maximize sales revenue and profit growth.
Lead in the refinement of commercial marketing plans to ensure strategic focus; market drivers analysis, market segmentation, and positioning.
Coordinate closely with Strategic Marketing to define and develop high-impact new product introductions
Provide strong, data-based direction to product management and business leadership team members.
Ensure efficient internal communication and approval systems are in place to remain nimble and compliant.
Oversee creation of all collateral including web site programs, brochures, advertising, exhibitions, media, and news releases.
Lead efforts to enhance web and social media strategy to more effectively reach customers and achieve annual growth goals.
Lead, develop, coach and motivate your team members.
Establish goals and performance metrics for each product line.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Excellent problem solving skills with attention to detail; ability to assess and analyze the overall business impact
Demonstrate strategic thinking and implementation skills; proven analytical skills with ability to translate data into actionable plans
Strong verbal and written communications skills and ability to support business unit executives with analysis and presentations
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills, able to manage priorities and workflow
Ability to travel up to 30 - 40% of time to support business objectives
Minimum Certifications/Educational Level:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field. MBA or Masters preferred
Minimum Experience:
5-8 years of related marketing experience including analytical capabilities.
