The Head of Fraud Risk is responsible for managing the fraud loss lines for Mortgage Banking and Auto Finance. This includes oversight of the loss line trends, root cause analysis and strategy adjustments to minimize losses while focusing on the optimal customer experience. The successful candidate will manage a team of 6 analysts across varying geographies. The team will also engage closely with partners in risk and supported businesses to ensure fraud risks associated with new business initiatives are represented, understood and that adequate controls are in place to manage according to the business’ risk appetite. This is an outstanding opportunity to lead an acquisition fraud strategy team at Chase, supporting the delivery and maintenance of industry leading products. Expectations for this individual include, but are not limited to:
Development strategies using internal and external tools to prevent and identify fraudulent applications, including misrepresentation and misuse.
Continually evaluate and implement improvements to strategies for vendor provided model solutions.
Interface with mortgage and auto risk groups to escalate material risk events and partner for resolution.
Communicate trends and prevention steps to the mortgage and auto business leads.
Partner with fraud prevention operations teams to optimize tool performance and respond to fraud trends.
Provide risk leadership and expertise to support the changing product landscape
Support delivery of key performance indicators and business metrics (MIS).
Lead and develop a team of analysts and fraud experts to deliver measureable business contribution.
Qualifications

Qualifications:
Minimum Masters Degree or equivalent.
5-7 years risk management experience; banking, lending or prior financial services experience with fraud risk management preferred
Strong analytical and technical background preferred; technical knowledge to include: MS Office, SAS, SQL
Excellent communication skills, role will require daily interaction with senior leaders
At least 3-5 years direct management/leadership experience
Strong presentation skills, must be able to effectively communicate proposed changes through formal presentations
