Director Sales Anesthesia Spacelabs Healthcare Snoqualmie

The Director US Sales Anesthesia is responsible for leading and managing the Anesthesia Delivery & Ventilation (ADV) direct and distributor sales organizations. S/he is responsible for ensuring US sales volume objectives are established and achieved, and that budget goals are met, in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.

This is a field based position.

Develop a sales plan for the Anesthesia product line sales. Work with direct sales team to develop strategies for their territories and accounts to meet their quotas.
Develop accurate forecasting; update management on results, status and plans regularly.
Partner effectively with other functional groups to develop strategies, tactics and mutual support to ensure success for your products.
Provide the leadership, coaching, support, training and feedback necessary for the Anesthesia Sales Specialists to meet sales targets.
Assist in developing and implementing regional sales ventures/projects as required by senior management.
Develop proficiency in clinical/technical knowledge, applications, strategic and tactical sales skill and competitive product knowledge for the Critical, Perioperative, Perinatal & Emergency Care products, at the expert level. Attend product training to develop expertise in the Spacelabs Healthcare product offerings.
Ensure that the Anesthesia Sales teams are following company procedures and utilizing systems as required.
Partner with the training department to provide product and sales training, including training across product lines.
Develop the sales force to communicate and to be aware of market and competition activities, business conditions and new product needs.
Attend and assign necessary sales force personnel to attend trade shows and conferences, communicating specific objectives of their attendance.
Build and maintain professional relationships with key customers.
Submit accurate and timely reports regarding expenses, MBR, activities, results, market position, and forecasts. Operate within the approved region’s expense budget for the fiscal year.
Ensure the auto policy requirements are followed.
Ensure that the Account Sales Executives maintain demo inventory in salable condition, including proper storage, movement and record keeping. Achieve demo inventory targets.
Create strong distributor relationships that are accountable to meet targets and process requirements.

Job Qualifications

BA or BS, preferably in Business Administration or Marketing; or equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for education requirement.
5+ years in medical capital equipment sales
2+ years leading and managing people/teams.
Experience with establishing and nurturing productive relationships with subordinates, peers and executive management as well as key customers.
Ability to deliver results through others, both direct and matrixed. Ability to lead, develop, motivate and hold others accountable.
Ability to manage multiple, complex priorities within demanding timeframes. Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written; ability and willingness to effectively present to various levels of management.
Competency in computer skills: MS Office applications, query tools and HR database systems.
Must be able to complete job responsibilities working with different time zone needs such as attending late night/early morning meetings by phone and/or web to meet business needs; 15%
Domestic travel required – up to 70%

OTHER WORK REQUIREMENTS:
Successful completion of Spacelabs training required (including training done at Company location). Must become fully competent in the application and operation of all products in all care areas.
Required to register with a vendor credentialing service. As part of this process, s/he may be required to submit personal information to a credentialing service company, provide proof of vaccinations or related medical information, and comply with other requirements needed to be able to work at customer site.
