We are currently seeking an experienced, intelligent and motivated social scientist to lead and expand our efforts in the area(s) of public policy research and evaluation with our private and public sector clients. This individual would exercise significant discretion in the management of their team, lead business development efforts, and work directly with the top management team to direct organizational growth.

Responsibilities include:

Contributing knowledge and expertise to the methods and processes involved in the analysis and evaluation of public policy as well as a strong understanding of the policy-formulation process.
Providing client account management to understand needs, manage expectations, and build long term relationships (including business development activities).
Responsible for management of multiple research teams, including setting goals, cultivating a productive work environment, and team development via coaching, mentoring and on-the-job training.
Providing quality control, supervising project staff, and implementing financial controls across a variety of quantitative and qualitative projects.
Building relationships with business partners, subcontractors, and universities to support current and future work.
Strengthening FMG’s research brand through presentations, speaking engagements, and other professional networking activities.
Qualifications:

MA (PhD preferred) in Economics, Public Administration, Political Science or related field.
A minimum of 10 years’ experience leading social scientific research projects and managing research personnel.
Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
Track record of business development in one or more specified research domains (e.g., Education, Health, Environment).
Applicants may be subject to a low-level government security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to sensitive information.
