Serve as team leader for Strategic Procurement’s major programs, projects and initiatives
Lead the Programs and Initiatives team to develop & execute a strategic planning process for specific procurement-related projects and initiatives

Drive the procurement process for large, complex projects by coordinating the execution of sourcing, negotiations, contract development, contract deliverables, tranportation, logistics, and final delivery of supplier-furnished goods and services
Lead RFx development, supplier evaluation, and contract negotiation & execution for specific projects and initiatives
Drive the development and execution of Strategic Procurement procedures and responsibilities for initial acquisition, induction, and operational sustainment
Ensure that procurement operations (contracts, purchasing, contract administration, expediting, suppliers’ quality, etc) comply with all corporate policies and procedures and supply chain best practices
Lead the development of solutions that effectively address supplier or material performance gaps, supply chain risks, or contractual issues that arise out of project planning and execution
Interface with vendors and outside agencies on behalf of Hawaiian Airlines, as required
Direct project procurement activities in collaboration with the Category Management and Material Management teams
Lead initiatives supporting fundamental improvements to HA project procurement processes
Serve as Strategic Procurement interface to other parts of the organization on progress and status of projects
Monitor and report on project procurement status and performance to stakeholders
Provide support to the Category Management Team in analyzing category drivers and complex deal structures with suppliers
Provide support to the development of performance management models for key suppliers
Lead the development and analysis of key metrics to support the supply chain, both in continuously improving steady state operations as well as driving transformational change across Strategic Procurement
Lead, mentor, and coach direct reports
Requirements
College degree
10 years professional experience, with at least 5 years in large-scale project procurement and supply chain management
Self-directing, assertive, and able to meet deadlines in an environment of constantly changing priorities and data
Management of a team; ability to lead and motivate
Proficiency in Word and Excel
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with aviation/commercial airlines
PMP Certification
MBA or equivalent
