The Director of Internal Communications is responsible for managing internal communication activities for North America – an organization of more than 12,000 people. The primary focus of this job function is the effective use of communications to drive employee engagement in support of Ericsson’s high performance culture.
Watch: Career Advice This role is responsible for developing communications plans and creating communications solutions to meet business needs, as well as evaluating and continuously improving communications. In this position, you will also be managing strategic planning of communications, day-to-day implementation of communications, executive communications, and strategy communications, among other assignments. You will be collaborating with global team members worldwide in the execution of this role.
You will be working within the North America Marketing & Communications team, reporting to the VP of Internal Communications & Marketing Operations for Region North America
Specific Responsibilities include:
Executing the internal communications plan for North America
Communicating messages and information to ensure that key objectives, strategies and news are clearly disseminated and understood throughout the North American organization
Developing news stories and digital content
Creating videos, including scripts and speeches and supporting webcasts
Working collaboratively with global Marketing & Communications in support of programs and initiatives
Supporting line functions and executive team members in communications
Drive metrics for measuring communications effectiveness

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, marketing or similar areas
MBA preferred
Ten or more years of communications experience
Marketing experience is highly-desirable
Excellent ability to write and edit in American English
Highly-proficient in PowerPoint and Word
Knowledge and experience in developing effective video communications
Experience in the ICT industry is desirable
Experience driving information sharing in digital channels
Ability to think strategically and innovatively within the area of communications, as well as execution focused
Skilled in proactively supporting change initiatives
Ability to initiate and manage projects strategically as well as operationally
Skilled in communications tools, including social media channels and digital signage
