The Samsung ID8 team is a cross disciplinary team of makers and innovators focused on building smart IoT products and platforms. We combine design with emerging technologies (machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, etc.) to imagine and invent new experiences for customers. The Samsung ID8 Team is based in San Jose, California, and we are part of the Samsung Strategy and Innovation Center where we are helping to bring new platforms like Samsung ARTIK, a chip-to-cloud IoT platform, to life.

Invent and build new products in the areas of IoT (smart homes, smart buildings and smart cities)
Lead engineering activities in the team including HW development and SW development
Take iD8 engineering team to the next level in terms of talent, process and prdocutivity
Basic Qualifications
BS in Computer science, Electrical Engineering required, MS preferred
12+ years of Electrical Engineering experience in Robotics or related field
Full stack hands-on knowledge: fully competent in SW or HW and good understanding of the other
Self managed and team player
Prior experience with agile product development, QA, products release
Preferred Qualifications
You consider yourself a “maker”; you love to get your hands dirty by both assembling and dissembling things to understand how they work;
Experiences shipping IoT products, including devices and services (robotics, security products, etc.)
Experience shipping products from a major consumer electronics company
