Food & Wine, a lifestyle super-brand that delivers expertly curated content to discerning consumers, is looking for a Digital Director who will lead and implement the brand’s digital content strategy, from web to social to mobile. This editorial leader will have a clear editorial vision and perspective on distribution and syndication, mobile, video and emerging platforms. S/he will develop plans to reach influencers and communities, launch e-commerce initiatives, and evaluate partnerships/acquisitions. This is a key role for a proven digital thinker who will partner with tech, product and UX teams to grow the brand’s reach, revenue, and profit.

You will:
Directly manage a team of digital editors, producers, photo editors and social media writers to execute a multifaceted digital strategy that has a consistent voice, vision and clear growth plan
Evaluate the performance of digital content channels, pivoting and tweaking when necessary, while charting a clear long-term strategy
Work across departments to drive new opportunities: with the analytics team to devise performance tests; the ad sales team to develop new ad products and programs; the consumer marketing team to test new methods for driving digital subscriptions
Collaborate with other Time Inc. brands and verticals to develop opportunities for cross-brand collaboration, partnerships and new business opportunities
Represent F&W at media events and conferences to spread the brand message
You are:
Proven. You have 7+ years in editorial, with 5 or more in digital, preferably leading teams.
Dynamic and entrepreneurial when it comes to leading a team and meeting goals: Your presence energizes people to think differently and approach work in new and exciting ways.
Extremely organized and analytical: You’re focused even when juggling many tasks at once. You are fluent in publishing platforms; have worked in a CMS like Drupal or WordPress; and measure the value of your efforts with analytics.
Plugged in and passionate about all topics related to food and lifestyle: Sharing this expertise on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and Snapchat is second nature.
A tastemaker: You know how to make people share content, because you share content that matters to people. You have a knowledge of and a passion for food, or a proven track record of activating other passions in communities within a broad audience.
Calm under pressure and good-natured: You have a positive work style.
A leader: The teams you’ve worked with love you for your collaborative and communicative approach.
