Manage a team of passionate designers, coordinating their efforts and ensuring a high quality bar for all deliverables
Participating in the design of useful, usable, and desirable user interfaces in a team environment
Work with the Director of UX to set design vision and direction for Kindle-based shopping and discovery experiences
Partner with product management and development, championing the creation of user-centered designs by considering market analysis, customer feedback, professional expertise, metrics, and usability findings
Develop and manage the development of conceptual diagrams, wireframes, visual mockups, click-throughs, and prototypes
Present design work to the Kindle design team, product stakeholders, and Amazon executives for review and feedback
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience
At least 10 years of experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, information architect, or similar role
At least 5 years of experience leading teams of designers in the creation of consumer facing experiences.
Experience designing and managing UX that bridges multi-platforms including mobile apps, web-based applications, and desktop apps.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Experience working in a collaborative team and working directly with product management and developers for implementation of designs
Ability to work gracefully and have a bias for action in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment
