Job Description: • 2-minute read •
Oversee the WNJU Telemundo Research department and support the station by working closely with upper management across various divisions to strategize the value of WNJU brand in order to grow revenue and maximize our ratings
• Produce and update quarterly estimates as well as maintain the Ad Sales rate card in Media Ocean (Donovan and proposer)
• Work with Sales in the development of strategic methods to increase revenue for WNJU, ENJU (Telexitos), Digital platforms and OOH
Watch: Career Advice
• Present WNJU audience and marketplace insights at weekly Manager and Sales meeting.
• Create and manage audience estimates for WNJU, as well as work with the Sales operations team to improve system applications to better serve our business needs.
• Collaborate with NBC, Telemundo NSO Research leaders in sharing of best practices
• Work directly with upper management of various departments i.e. News, Marketing & Promotions, Sales and Finance.
• Create quarterly performance deck identifying internal strengths and competitive weaknesses.
• Produce various category decks to drive business development and strengthen existing business relationships. Special focus on “Tent-Pole” entertainment and sporting events.
•Support Local News Department by tracking, trending and profiling viewers
•Monitor Nielsen methodology and sample performance across the TV, OOH and digital
•Attend industry conferences on behalf of WNJU and advocate improvements in measurement methodologies.

Proficient and familiar with the following research tools:

Nielsen NPower, Nielsen Local TV, Nielsen Arianna, Nielsen Media Monitor, Simmons OneView, TechEdge, Rentrak, SQAD CPP/CPM, WRAP Overnights/Sweeps, Scarborough Prime Lingo, Kantar (TNS Media –CMR), Nielsen SMS (Claritas/Prime Location), Polk, Redbooks, Yankelovich Multicultural Monitor, Microsoft Office Applications: Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Adobe Acrobat Writer, Photo Shop
Digital: Google Analytics, Adobe, Comscore
Qualifications/Requirements • Minimum of 5 years working with Nielsen TV ratings and Scarborough, Media Audit and CMR
• Minimum 5 years proven ability to analyze, prepare and present reports and presentations
• 5 years’ experience working with the Hispanic Market and knowledge of the NY Market

• Must be able to travel.

• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
• Must be available to work evenings and weekends.
• Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Program.
