We are seeking a strong leader who lives and breathes the One Microsoft vision, passionate about breaking down silos and collaborating across all parts of the company to land highly impactful readiness solutions as part of the field’s broader learning journey.
This is a newly created role that will lead both the TechReady and S4 events in their current form, as well as build a strategy to bring these events together into one in the near future. Landed twice a year, TechReady and S4 are designed to drive Training, Inspiration and Connection across the internal Microsoft technical and specialist sales audiences in Services, EPG, DX and SMS&P. This role has a front row seat in helping to build deep technical and specialist sales capabilities for our internal field.

As the Director, Readiness Events, you will be responsible for leading a passionate team, driving the overall strategy and execution of both TechReady and S4. One of our main goals associated with these events is to develop the experience and content as an integral piece of the field's broader holistic curriculum and readiness plan. A key component of this role will be to build out the strategy that allows us to continue to drive learning, community and connection throughout the year, leveraging the energy generated from the onsite deliveries as the target audience exceeds the number of attendees for these events each year. And, as we work to deliver a combined readiness experience, the Readiness Events Director has a unique opportunity to lead the strategy and vision of this broader connected experience.

Primary Responsibilities
Build, upskill and grow effective inclusive teams; drive the Microsoft strategy; and role model our Microsoft values, to deliver exceptional results while leading and accelerating the transformation to the digital era.
Lead, evolve, innovate and execute on the TechReady and S4 strategy; defining program goals, scope, metrics and direction, in alignment with Business Priorities.
Effectively collaborate and engage with groups inside and outside WW Readiness to foster a "One Microsoft" readiness approach for planning, landing, and holding stakeholders accountable to the "One Microsoft" vision.
Strategically plan field readiness that will accelerate Microsoft's transformation to a cloud and mobile-first company by delivering on these events in support of the big rocks, key business priorities and initiatives that foster an inclusive learning culture.
Build positive and productive relationships with leadership and key stakeholders in the Segments, HQ, Engineering Groups, Product Marketing and the Field, positioning yourself and team as their trusted advisors.
Accelerate and strengthen targeted audience technical and specialist sales capabilities through key programs and events aligned to the Microsoft business priorities and initiatives.
Proactively engage with stakeholders in Segments and product groups to land field readiness plans aligned with business priorities and sub scorecard metrics.
Own and manage the annual TechReady and S4 budget (~$32M combined), working with the team and vendors to efficiently invest dollars, while reducing costs where possible and continuing to meet program objectives.
Lead the team on the strategy, development and execution of the ‘Always-On’ strategy.

To successfully perform the above duties, the ideal candidate will possess:
An ability to create and curate readiness that drives impact
Bachelor’s Degree / MBA preferred
8 to 10 years of related Readiness and/or Business experience
8 + years expereince in program, business operations, readiness, project and/or product management
