Xbox is looking for an experienced Director, Business Intelligence to play a critical role in the success of the Xbox business by managing the central data science & analytic team. Xbox is at the forefront of the services and digital transformation in Gaming and entertainment. We are enabling new and exciting business models for Microsoft’s Entertainment platforms - including games and entertainment across all channels. We collaborate with internal and external partners to provide key metrics, insight and decisions that advance our business performance across devices and services as well as delight our consumers.

As the Director, you will be responsible for creating, leading and executing the adoption of a worldwide Business Intelligence strategy, plan and tactics, to include:
• Designing and standardizing key performance metrics and processes for financial and consumer and
• Enabling a data driven culture to make faster, more accurate data driven decisions and actions across multiple Studios & Xbox.
• This individual will lead a team.
• A successful candidate, has strong financial and consumer modeling and analytic skills, with P&L experience to assist in analyzing monetization models, game balancing, online gaming, for supporting entertainment as a service.
• A successful candidate is also confident and comfortable leading virtual teams, leading business transformations and delivering results in a rapidly changing environment, an influencer with excellent negotiation and relationship building skills that can act as a change agent for Xbox.
• You will be on the front lines with business managers and analysts, working across Microsoft Studios, Xbox teams, and other Microsoft divisions to ensure the right KPIs and business decisions and actions are achieved with speed and accuracy.
Major Responsibilities:
• Be at the heart of an entertainment transformation, working closely with critical partners to define BI Strategy, methodologies, and outputs for Xbox.
• Identify and measure key performance indicators for Microsoft Studios - each Studio, by title, by financial model etc., and for the Xbox platform.
• Define business and technical requirements for integrating and tracking across all channels - e.g. TV and games Create, Own and manage Xbox Business Dashboard - a central reporting dashboard for critical financial and consumer KPIs.
• Drive best practices and adoption across Xbox partnered with Finance
• Partner to share learnings, drive decisions and actions, and create A/B test to increase cross channel/platform usage and revenue
• Create and distribute valued routine metrics, dashboards
• Design and implement tests and make recommendations to increase acquisition, usage, retention and maximize ROI
• Define and integrate 3rd party metrics
• Create Enterprise Data warehouse and semantic analytic engine for Xbox.
• Travel both domestically and internationally to gain best practices and KPI adoption
• Solve complex problems that allow for innovative features across multiple devices, services and platforms
• Present information clearly and concisely to leaders of different backgrounds, technical expertise and levels of authority.
Qualifications/Skills:
• Experience with demonstrated success in establishing an executive level Business Intelligence - strategy, KPIs, and roadmap with high adoption
• 10+ years of related leading business performance modeling, metrics, KPIs and transformation in a highly transactional business with multiple organizations.
• Deep knowledge of metrics used for game and /or entertainment online businesses including audience growth, usage, retention, abandonment, clickstream, marketing effectiveness and conversion funnels.
• Knowledge of and experience with data analysis and reporting tools e.g. Tableau, SPSS/SAS, DW, Hive, and SQL
• Strong analytical skills and an ability to present and communicate data trends, insights and recommendations
• Experience driving business transformation / disruption in a digital/online domain
• Ability to travel both domestically and internationally.
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems that allow for innovative features across multiple devices and services
• Excellent presentation/verbal/written communication skills to present technical and non-technical information clearly and concisely to individuals of different backgrounds, technical expertise, and levels of authority.
• BA/BS or equivalent work experience; PhD in applied statistics preferred.

• Experience with EaaS; GaaS
• Experience with entertainment companies, launching F2P games and knowledge of the different monetization models.
