The Senior Director, Distribution Operations will have the opportunity be a part of the construction of Under Armour’s newest Distribution Operation from ground up. We are seeking an individual, with operational start-up experience, to lead the opening and ongoing operations for a 1 million square foot Distribution House that will be constructed in the South East (Location to be determined). The ideal candidate for the Senior Director, Distribution Operations – South East position will have a passion for start-up operations, processes and systems, and enjoy building great teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Directly responsible for all aspects of the successful facility startup of the new Distribution House located in the South East.
Oversees the transition from startup to operation of the South East Distribution House to distribute products in the most cost effective manner within quality and compliance standards.
Ensures the establishment of operations initiatives for improvement in safety, quality, cost and delivery.
Leading the use of capital to optimize productivity and enable capacity in order to optimize total cost.
Ensures the establishment of operations standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and complete and on-time delivery.
Establishes manufacturing policies in the areas of materials usage, shipping and receiving, capacity planning, production scheduling and customer satisfaction.
Recommend and implement strategic changes in manufacturing and global operations strategy.
Builds, develops and manages an operations leadership team capable of carrying out needed operations strategies.
Responsible for the operations and production budget, ensuring compliance with organizational expenditure requirements.
Responsible for achieving optimum labor and least amount of overhead and material costs in the Distribution operation.
Alerts executive team of any service, cost or labor overruns and makes recommendations, implementing solutions to problems relating to same.
Keeps up-to-date on information and technology affecting functional areas to increase innovation and ensure compliance.
Education/Experience/Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. MBA or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Engineering field, with at least 10 years of related experience in a Distribution environment; or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
Direct responsibility for apparel Distribution Center startups, transitioning to full operations, is critical.
A proven track record of building strong teams with great results. History of attracting great talent.
