Syfy is looking for a dynamic, genre-passionate candidate with a wide-ranging and extensive background in Program Scheduling. This person will be responsible for creating, populating, maintaining and distributing schedules for Syfy and Chiller.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Supervise Program Scheduling Department for Syfy and Chiller
• Manage long-term and short-term planning, scheduling and stunting on the network
• Analyze, react to ratings to achieve targets
• Create, build, maintain and distribute upfront, quarterly and monthly schedules
• Manage and distribute various reports supplied to our internal partners
• Participate in Upfront planning strategy, building the resulting grids and documents
• Monthly movie title scheduling
• Episodic scheduling as needed
• Supervise schedule and grid details changes
• Create and schedule stunts
• Supervise and coordinate Alternate schedules for Live programming as needed
• Create West Coast grids as needed
• Approve episodic details scheduled monthly
• Approve off the clock scenarios for stunts
• Supervise run counts for series inventory
• Release monthly grid packet, highlighting priorities
• Liaison with Marketing & Ad Sales, coordinating all sponsored stunts
• Liaison with On-Air promotions and Traffic
• Liaison with Digital and Metadata teams; participate in metadata
• Supervise shared movie usage among sister channels
• Supervise Original Series episodic scheduling with executives in LA and NYC
• Troubleshoot the Compass scheduling system and suggest enhancements
• Supervise Chiller scheduling
• Serve as seamless coverage for Sr. Director and Manager of Program Scheduling
• Liaison with PR and listings to report accurate start times of Syfy programming
• Screen all episodes to be scheduled for series
• Special projects as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements Qualifications/Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in communication, television or related field
• Minimum of 7 years working in programming or scheduling
• Minimum of 5 years working in television or related field
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel and Powerpoint
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Passion for the science fiction genre
• Flexibility with day to day schedule
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and drive them to completion
