Manages the day to day activities of the staff including the GAAP and statutory accounting and general ledger processes for specified financial area. Responsible for the hiring, performance and compensation decisions affecting assigned staff.
Acts as an expert consultant providing financial support to business areas regarding conformance to corporate policies and procedures, technical inquiries, planning & forecasting process, and controls accounting and accruals.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and ten (10) years of related business and supervisory experience required
CPA, CIA certified preferred
Excellent research and analytical skills
Strong project management skills
Strong communication skills (clear, concise verbal and written communication), effective with presentations.
Strong understanding of technical environment as it relates to financial metrics
Ability to work effectively with senior management (VP, SVP, Treasurer)
Demonstrated ability to achieve results
Highly motivated and self-directed
