Creates and drives strategic goals by developing high-level plans to achieve strategic goals; prioritizing and executing resources within corporate strategies; driving timelines, tasks, analysis, and team assignments; and ensuring proper planning, testing, and delivery of high-level strategic initiatives.

Develops Innovation strategies, processes, and best practices by leading an internal team; partnering with cross-functional teams across the business; developing assessments of key opportunities; documenting project scopes; developing long-range plans and project timelines; and communicating with and influencing decision-makers and executives within the organization. Manages a portion of the department budget and profit and loss (P&L) by forecasting resource needs and expenses for personnel, travel, and other variable items; monitoring actual expenses versus budget; and making adjustments as necessary. Provides overall direction for Innovation department by analyzing business objectives and customerneeds; developing, communicating, building support for, and implementing business strategies, plans, and practices; analyzing costs and forecasts and incorporating them into business plans; determining and supporting resource requirements; evaluating operational processes; measuring outcomes to ensure desired results; identifying and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; promoting a customer-focused environment; and demonstrating adaptability and sponsoring continuous learning.

Provides tactical solutions for cross-functional team processes to maximize results by evaluating current systems and processes; recommending, developing, testing, and implementing new procedures and systems; and modifying existing practices.

Leads team by creating a compelling vision; leading multiple strategies that improve the business; making decisions on direction and tools to be used; balancing workloads; determining resources; and developing both short- and long-term plans. Drives change initiatives to achieve desired results by identifying and defining transformational change and processes; validating value and priority; driving project plans to implement processes; assessing people's readiness for change; managing expectations; adjusting approaches to have positive company change adopted by the entire organization; and ensuring timely project management from pilot to the execution stage.

Develops organizational talent by interviewing, hiring, and developing new associates; coaching associates, peers, and customers; and providing developmental opportunities.

Drives execution of current corporate programs by influencing and collaborating with cross-functional teams; gaining knowledge from relevantvsources; communicating details of projects; and increasing the potential of expected financial results.

Drives operational compliance with corporate programs and processes and makes recommendations for corrective actions to ensure adherence to standard procedures by observing current processes; creating solutions; and educating associates on needed changes and sustainable corrective actions.

Develops and implements strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce by diagnosing capability gaps; recruiting, selecting, and developing talent; supporting mentorship, workforce development, and succession planning; and leveraging the capabilities of new and existing talent.

Cultivates an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics by integrating these values into all programs and practices; developing consequences for violations or non-compliance; and supporting the Open Door Policy.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Arts, Sciences, Business, or related field and 3 years experience in project management, operations management, or related field OR 5 years experience in project management, operations management, or related field. 3 years of supervisory experience. 2 years experience using intermediate functionality of word processing, presentation, or spreadsheet software (for example, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Additional Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in Arts, Sciences, Business, or related field. 5 years experience leading Wal-Mart project teams to solve problems in engineering, information systems, distribution, logistics, replenishment, HR, store operations, supply chain, transportation division, or customer service area. 5 years experience developing operations strategy and overseeing project implementations. 5 years experience leading cross-functional teams. 3 years experience conducting resource planning
