In this role, you’ll be a key member of the Samsung Strategy and Innovation Center (SSIC) in the Office of the President responsible for developing and managing PR programs that elevate the brand and drive the narratives and media communications across the organization. You will report to the Head of Communications, working closely with the Office of the President, HR, communications, marketing and program area teams. We are looking for quick-witted, entrepreneurial and intellectually curious people to join the team. You’ll have the opportunity to work with leaders and colleagues to develop strategy, messaging and programming for key multi-layered PR programs that drives high impact outcomes for the company, emphasizing on program areas including Smart Machines, Digital Health, IoT and more.



Key Qualities to Succeed

The ideal candidate will think creatively, master solid communication skills and attention to detail to create programs, develop content, deliver compelling and clear strategies and recommendations. Experience working at a start-up or hi-growth, multi-national organization is a plus. This person is comfortable working with executives, is an excellent writer, can work effectively across a wide range of internal teams globally. The candidate should have relevant experience and passion for emerging technologies (robotics, deep learning/AI, machines, and sensors/processors). You’ll have a strong background driving successful communications campaigns and has excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills. You showcase savvy leadership with executives and teams.



Key Responsibilities

Devise and execute major communications campaigns surrounding Samsung’s innovation and investment initiatives
Media Outreach- build deep relationships with the media and engage with press, bloggers, analysts, influencers, and the general public as a Samsung spokesperson.
Manage a broad range of proactive and reactive projects across the communications team.
Work with executives and teams across the company including engineering, product, marketing, legal and partnerships
Planning- work with internal stakeholders and cross-functional partners in innovation teams focused on IoT, Digital Health, Smart Machines and Datacenter.
Develop and execute proactive media campaigns that increase awareness of Facebook products, both during launch moments and by identifying evergreen story angles
Some Guiding Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in English, Communications or related field
Experience working with technology, business, and media
Experience in translating technical content for an audience
10+ years of relevant work experience in communications, technology or political experience
Experience working with reporters who cover content related to consumer or technology-focused audiences
Experience managing relationships with reporters across a variety of publications
Experience with project management and decision-making
Experience in managing teams and working with PR agencies and contractors
