Here are the details of this role:

Strategic
Provide leadership vision to establish and document an overall IT Operations and ESM strategy
Identify business requirements for IT Operations and establish programs to address
Responsible for the creation and maintenance of an IT Operations Quality System
Establish and document key operational metrics and performance reporting and process
Responsible for overall production environment, including system and infrastructure change management, job scheduling, file transfer management, enterprise system monitoring, financial close processing and data center controls
Create and maintain a communication mechanism to ensure that stakeholders are well-informed of IT Operations activities and business impacts
Responsible for 24x7 IT Operations accountabilities including system performance, availability and service level attainment
Maintain personal and team technical currency in industry trends, best practices and tools
Operational

Ensure that the portfolio of systems are monitored for stability, security and performing in line with the SLA expectations of our Business stakeholders
Ensure that the portfolio of systems are properly inventoried with key attributes stored for proper operational support of systems
Ensure that IT Operations systems for job scheduling, file management and monitoring are refreshed before end of life and system upgrade initiatives are properly planned and implemented on time within budget and in line with SLA’s
Implement IT operations processes in line with well-established industry best practices for change management, incident management, monitoring, job scheduling, disaster recovery coordination and security design, configuration, monitoring and controls
Ensure that processes and procedures are well established and optimized to deliver on time financial close results to the business
Design and implement practical and effective processes, management controls to ensure compliance to established policies and procedures
Implement process improvement initiatives for all aspects of the IT operations function
Adhere to Internal Control audit compliance expectations, continually seek to improve our controls and effectiveness
Prepares required tracking reports and dashboards to effectively communicate the health of our systems and value of the service
Ensures that all Implementation initiatives follow established Change Management, Quality Assurance and ISO processes
Ensure appropriate staffing, skills, training, cross-training to meet service level expectations
Fiduciary
Establish and manage within budget limits, track expenses, and perform periodic forecasting
Track accurate application, equipment and licensing inventories
Perform expected Leadership responsibilities including staff performance reviews, development and succession plans

What does it take to be successful in this role?
BS in Computer Science or CIS, or equivalent experience
10+ years of experience in managing IT Operations and Data Center Services in a large enterprise
5+ Years of experience with Job Scheduling, financial close processing a plus
Proven Leadership/Management skills and strategic planning capability
Project Management Experience and tactical Planning Capability a Must
Strong knowledge of IT quality process methods, ITSM, ISO and audit controls
5+ years of experience in IT Operations Project Budgeting, forecasting and business case development
Experience in Process development and process improvement methods
Experience with Implementation of Application and Infrastructure Monitoring and Management Tools
Proven ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple projects, tasks, deliverables in a fast paced environment
Experience effectively communicating with Senior Management about IT Operations services how to measure effectiveness of service delivery
Ability to set and manage strategic partnerships with vendors and outside suppliers#LI
Position Summary

Directs, develops and implements short and long term solutions to solve business problems/inefficiencies utilizing technology. Provides consultative services to field management regarding technology solutions; provides technical expertise related to assessing system needs, development, processes and reengineering. Provides new innovated way to improve business/IS&T operations. Manages budgets and provides oversight of projects.

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
