As a Strategic Partner Developer in the Product Distribution Partnerships team you will lead a broader cross-functional team to formulate a strategy that will allow us to meet our ambitious goals against the backdrop of complicated platform ecosystem dynamics. Once the strategy is set, your job will be to evaluate partnership opportunities (keeping in mind Google’s broader set of assets and goals), engage with prospective partners, negotiate terms sheets, and see the agreement through to execution. You will also need to work strategically with our existing set of partners to broaden and deepen the partnerships. Crucial to all aspects of the role -- whether formulating a strategy, executing an agreement, or managing an existing partner through a complex situation -- will be your ability to form strong and meaningful relationships.

Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The team partners with Publishers and App Developers of all sizes to promote their ad inventory, working with Google's broad range of partner solutions including AdSense, DoubleClick Platform Solutions and the Ad Exchange, across mobile, display, and video formats, helping our partners and their audiences get the most out of the web. In addition, the Partnerships team supports Google’s own product teams with essential partnerships to help power Google’s user experiences in search, maps, travel, shopping, payments and more.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with a broad cross-functional team to develop broad responses -- including the ownership of our broader product Distribution strategy -- to platform ecosystem challenges and opportunities.
Lead a cross-functional team to structure, (re)negotiate, and pen strategic, meaningful, and often complex agreements.
Cultivate, develop, and maintain strong direct relationships with key Distribution partners (including prospective partners).
Manage our existing set of partnerships optimizing for the partners’ and Google’s broader goal across across all our touchpoints strategically.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of work experience in either business development; strategy experience in consulting, finance or other strategic/analytical field; and operational start-up experience.

Preferred qualifications:
MBA and/or JD.
Experience in negotiating complex commercial agreements all the way through execution.
Strong strategy acumen, with significant experience in using analytical insight and employing thoughtful structures to solve problems and communicate solutions.
Ability to thrive in very fast paced, collaborative, and ambiguous environments where thoughtfulness, an entrepreneurial mindset, persistent execution, and ability to form relationships will drive your success.
A passion for understanding, and driving the success of, Google, our products, and the broader ecosystems we are a part of.
High level of comfort in escalating and presenting key issues and recommendations to senior Google leadership when appropriate.
