Security Technology Manager Microsoft Redmond

DCPS is looking for a motivated individual to lead critical infrastructure technology projects involving physical security systems design, specification, and technical oversight for our worldwide critical infrastructure portfolio. This position is responsible for working directly with numerous internal and external teams, including design teams, delivery teams, operations teams, and numerous third party security vendors and suppliers.

The Security Technology Manager position reports to the Datacenter Physical Security Consulting Manager and must be an experienced leader and a team player, possess strong communication and collaboration skills, and have the ability to effectively manage a demanding workload in the execution of multiple concurrent projects across geographic and organizational boundaries.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Manage Microsoft Cloud and critical infrastructure physical security technologies including selection, implementation, and maintenance/repair supervision working with vendor support teams.

Works with Security Consulting Manager and Physical Security Senior Director on other projects and programs as needed in support of business priorities.

Perform Technology assessments and provide MCIO Datacenter Physical Security with data driven information concerning effectiveness of current technology, as well as the benefits of implementing new technologies.

Drives upgrades or replacements of ineffective technology to produce desired results and services from security systems.

Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Datacenter Physical Security technologies, supporting high visibility needs of the business in a variety of special projects.

These unique projects can involve expedited deliverables, operational agility, and require top quality deliverables covering both the consulting and operational functions.

Contribute new content and expertise in the continuing evolution of existing physical security processes and procedures that produces valid and trustworthy results, supports the goals of the business, and removes as many subjective elements as possible.

Manages vendor relationships to ensure infrastructure health and system confidence as required to run the business.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AT ENTRY

Education/Experience:
7+ years of experience successfully managing large scale security systems programs in a corporate, law enforcement or government security program role.
Lenel Certified Professional in Access Control and Digital Video.
Ability to travel worldwide as required in both planned and unplanned scenarios.
Experience with datacenters or other critical infrastructure facilities highly preferred.
Industry security certification, such as PSP, CPP, CISSP, highly desirable.
BS or BA in physical security, engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience preferred.

Comprehensive understanding of the physical security discipline, focusing on consulting and operations areas.
Ability to develop, and maintain security related processes, procedures, program baselines, training, and improvement plans.

Ability to document and improve work processes in order to make workflow more efficient and productive.

Ability to contribute to other pillars of the Datacenter Physical Security program including consulting,
operations, and program support by active collaboration, feedback, and support.

Ability to work independently with minimal guidance while being a team player able to effectively manage a demanding workload across geographic and organizational boundaries.

Experience with third-party contracts and statements of work related to physical security.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of US Citizenship to meet federal government security requirements.

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
