Key Qualifications
5+ years of experience building highly available, highly accessible data infrastructure on Hadoop based technologies, Spark, Hive / Impala in particular
3+ years of experience with high throughput data streaming and storage
2+ years designing and implementing systems to process Terabytes to Petabytes of data using Hadoop
2+ years of experience working closely with operational teams on deployment, monitoring, management concerns
Proficiency in python and java
Description
The Spotlight Suggestions Search Team is looking for an experienced data architect to build and maintain a multi-petabyte scale data warehouse. Candidate must be able to identify bottlenecks in existing processes, cluster configurations and ETL software and produce optimizations.
Education
BS in computer science or equivalent field with 5+ years relevant experience.
Additional Requirements
Experience in Java, Python, SQL or MySQL, PostgreSQL, Hive and/or Impala, Git, Shell scripting is highly preferred
