As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. A master juggler working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to tackle big picture challenges.

With your analytics and financial savvy, you'll liaise between the Finance team with the functional areas it supports. You resolve issues related to forecasting, planning, resource prioritization and business profitability, and you help translate analyses into easy-to-understand presentations.

From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.
Responsibilities
Forecast business growth generated by ads on Google’s internal properties with a focus on region and channel splits.
Develop analyses/tools to track business growth for Google’s properties to better understand the drivers of that business growth.
Partner with leaders in sales and finance organizations to understand drivers of business growth and identify opportunities.
Provide executive management with clear insights into drivers of business growth, risks, and opportunities.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
BA/BS degree in a quantitative coursework such as Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, or Finance or equivalent practical experience.
4 years of relevant work experience in financial/quantitative analysis.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience with a statistical software (e.g. R, Metlab, SAS).
Strong database experience including proficiency in SQL coding across standard relational environments (e.g. Oracle, Teradata, etc.). Knowledge of industrial grade IS architectures and reporting tools.
Solid analytical work experience in high data volume environments in software, internet, media or telecoms industries. Consulting experience.
Distinctive problem solving and analysis skills, combined with impeccable business judgment and ability to communicate with highly technical management team.
