The MASC Program Manager ensures that the MASC is delivering on team commitments including project sales and delivery, mentors project managers and engagement managers to ensure successful sales and delivery of engagements, and expands adoption of proven practices and tools through training delivery. By mentoring and providing assistance to the Consulting Delivery Management leads, the MASC Program Manager will serve to augment the delivery management expertise and capabilities of each individual project team, ultimately delivering solutions of higher technical quality and capability.
The MASC Program Manager’s primary accountabilities are as follows: * Mentor senior Project Managers, Technical Leads and Engagement Managers on proven practices and tools for delivery management. * Coach senior Project Managers, Technical Leads and Engagement Managers on understanding of key MASC reports and processes and reporting of metrics to customer management. * Align work backlog with MASC Oversight team goals. * Plan and deliver internal MASC release (e.g. process improvement, internal tool updates and training material). * Work with MASC Director to report program level status across all MASC engagements. * Be a key enabler for all the engagement delivery teams as well as other members of the core MASC team. * Help customer account teams identify, pursue and close strategic business development opportunities while continually driving add-on business within existing accounts. In some situations, assist in contract negotiations and engagement management. * Maintain product group relationships and may act as subject matter experts assisting service line management in definition and development of service and/or solution offerings. Qualifications: The role requires both deep project management experience in a consulting organization, and broad technology knowledge with the ability to facilitate the architecting of solutions by mapping common customer business problems to reusable end-to-end technology solutions. The capability to be effective requires a senior executive who has held strategic leadership roles within Microsoft and/or executive leadership positions within global services or Fortune 1000 corporations. The ability to easily and effectively connect and relate to senior customer executives is an imperative. The role requires a technically strong project manager who is resourceful, confident under pressure, and has demonstrated skill in both crisis management and expectation management. * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (Computer Science or Technical degree preferred) * 10+ years related business and IT project management experience with at least 5 years working within the Public Sector (Educational, State and Local Government and/or Federal Government) * Proven experience managing application development projects through all phases of a solution’s or application’s lifecycle in a consulting organization, with demonstrated expertise and proven abilities in risk management and mitigation, and business value or strategy consulting. * Understanding and experience using Agile / iterative methodologies * Strong executive presence and demonstrated ability to build, extend and maintain senior client relationships * Exceptional communication, team building and mentoring skills * Demonstrated capability in developing professional talent * Demonstrated ability to lead client and consulting teams * Competency in Analytical Problem Solving, Customer/Partner Relationships, Product & Technology Expertise, Project Management, Strategic Insight * Experience using Microsoft Project to develop WBS and Project schedules * Project Management Professional (PMP) certified * Experience using Microsoft Team Foundation Server * The successful candidate must be a U.S. Citizen, be required to hold or be able to satisfactorily complete a US Government Security Clearance based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) at the Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information Level. The position will require travel to customer sites. The selected candidate must be able to start within 30 days of offer acceptance.
