ROLE and RESPONSIBILITIES
Learn, Design and Develop industry’s most advanced network controller - ACI
• Learn Cisco’s approach to SDN for a programmable and scalable datacenters where applications drive and networking requirements
• Understand and anticipate customer requirements and innovate around those requirements
• Learn model and data-driven programming for distributed and high performance software designs
• Interact with marketing and technical support teams to enhance ACI solution in the controller (APIC) area
• Participate and contribute in the architecture and design discussions and decisions.

• 10+ Software Engineering experience
• 4+ years C++ (strongly preferred) or other Object-Oriented programming approach (e.g. Java)
• Strong algorithms and data structures background
• BSCS/CE/EE is required MSCS/CE/EE, PhD CS/CE is preferred.
• Experience with one or more virtualization and cloud technologies vmware (e.g. VMware, Microsoft, KVM, Xen, OpenStack, Azure)
ADDITIONAL DESIRED SKILLS
• Experience with working on distributed systems is a plus
• Experience with working on switch/router products is a plus
• Distributed databases
• Working knowledge of Python is desirable
• Understanding of functionalities provided by SDN controllers is desirable
• Experience in data analytics, trending analysis, visualization and monitoring tools is highly desirable
