Certification Program Manager Google Chicago

The Certification Program Manager will be responsible for building and growing the Certification program globally. You will partner with the various internal and external teams to create and manage a new program to reach potential candidates. You will define and launch communication channels to drive higher engagement in the certification community and help maintain the high value for the certification program. Additionally, you will work with groups of highly skilled Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to scope create relevant, valid, technically accurate and defensible certification exams. You will also plays a key role in technically supporting the certification strategy and systems/tools. You will have the ability to impact the quality and effectiveness of our certification offerings by innovating and by applying industry best practices.

Responsibilities
Establish departmental goals, evaluate program needs, define strategic direction and develop budgets to launch and maintain the technical certification program. Work with SMEs to define core metrics and content for certification exams.
Be responsible for ongoing market intelligence, researching, recommending and implementing the testing strategy for the certification exams.
Direct the development and implementation of systems and procedures for certification delivery. Onboard and manage relationships with certification development and delivery vendors.
Be responsible for defining the execution on the appropriate marketing program to drive awareness and reach for the program.
Ensure a good balance of benefits and value tied to the certification program to ensure continued candidate engagement.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
5 years of experience managing a global IT Certification Program.
Experience contributing to high-stakes exams. Experience managing high-stakes exam development and delivery in the IT industry.
Experience conducting Job-Task Analyses, Item writing workshops, item-writing training, and item reviews.
Experience with the psychometric review process as typically applied in development of IT certification exams.

Preferred qualifications:
Project management experience.
Experience with Cloud computing technologies.
Training or instructional design experience.
Experience developing performance based testing solutions.
Strong technical knowledge in web technologies, programming, application development or IT infrastructure.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
