Apple's Environmental Technologies group is seeking a candidate to assist with product-level environmental compliance. This candidate will be responsible for tracking current and upcoming regulatory requirements globally, including requirements around energy efficiency, material selection, and end-of-life recycling. Candidate will work closely with internal product development teams to understand current and upcoming products and product features, and how regulatory requirements may intersect with these.
5+ years experience in environmental compliance, including the successful launch of multiple products
Experience managing, organizing and maintaining large numbers of regulations/documents
Comfortable delving into technical details of regulations, including specifics of testing protocols, measurement methods, and sampling techniques
Familiarity with statistical methods
Self-motivated and proactive
Attention to detail is a must
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

This position is offered in Apple's Environmental Technologies group within Apple's Hardware Engineering division. Our mission is to deliver the world's leading programs on the elimination of hazardous substances, improved material and energy efficiency as well as design for recycling. Apple believes that major improvements in environmental performance will be delivered through product design and innovation. The candidate will also work closely with cross-functional teams on new product development, focusing on environmental regulatory compliance. The preferred candidate must be able to juggle multiple projects, prioritize issues as needed, and work independently.
Education
BS degree required; MS and PhD degrees welcome; engineering background strongly preferred.
